Reviews in Birmingham for Installing Outlets

NYMA Home Improvement, LLC
5.0
Nyma Home Improvement is the bee's knees. I moved into an unevenly remodeled 90 year old house that has some bugs to be sorted out. One of which was a range that conked out within the first few months of use. The replacement range arrived about 3/4 inch wider than anticipated and needed to be placed in a granite-top island that did not have a lot of wiggle room. Mr. J gave a window of time that he could show up and arrived as anticipated. When I asked if he could move an electrical outlet to accommodate the new appliance, he called two of his crew who also arrived ready for action. Moreover, Mr J minimized the clean up for the job by asking for, then placing sheets and towels in the kitchen to capture the dust. In little time, he and his crew had wheedled the granite on the island and moved the electrical outlet to snugly fit behind the new appliance. They voluntarily swept the floors and wiped the one countertop that was not covered. It is refreshing to do business with people who have pride of ownership, a can-do attitude, and provide excellent craftsmanship. The referrals have already begun!

Adkins was professional and courteous from start to finish. Our electrician was prompt and efficient. He also looked at some wiring issues is our home and made arrangements to return in the future to provide an estimate. We have used Adkins in the past and have never been disappointed.

Several of the outlets in my kitchen suddenly quit working. I called and left a voicemail message on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday evening, Mr. Roy called me to schedule a service call with me on Monday, He called 30 minutes before the scheduled time to say he would be arriving at the planned time. The services were performed in less than 20 minutes by Mr. Roy and his son. This is the second time to use this company. They are so professional and courteous, I am certain I will be using them again.

We needed an electrical outlet run to be able to put our plasma TV above the mantle. Nathan came out and made a recommendation for the cable and HDMI run into the same box. Professional work, cleanup afterwards. Great job.

They were on time & very nice. Though the Geek Squad that came later to hang our flat screen above the fireplace said the electrical outlet couldn't have been put in a worse place. It was also very expensive. $430.00 for one outlet? Overall I am just happy they showed up, were nice, and got the job done as I have had bad experiences with other electricians/companies.

The appointment was fine. The power was out in the area so the electrician could not do the work. He gave me an estimate for the work, and scheduled a return date for the next week to do the work.

Keith Electrical Services Inc

It took Mr. Keith a long time to figure out electrical trouble because of improper labeling when the house was built. We were overcharged for a minor electrical issue due to this issue of not being able to find the problematic outlet. Also, his assistant told an unprofessional sad story about someone having to pay thousands of dollars due to lightening destroying expensive electrical equipment which was totally unrelated (trying to make customers feel better? If so, it didn't work.)

Recent Review: We used this company before for track lighting installation. We went with them again to put in two of the brass floor plugs in our hardwood floors. Floor plugs are the electrical outlets that are in the floor instead of on the wall. The floor had to be lifted and drilled to run the wiring. After the job was done its looks like the outlets were always there. There was no damage to the wood floors. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of professionalism you get.

Recent Review: He got there right on time. He was pleasant and friendly to work with, and very focused. Gave insights into different ways to do the work, and suggested one option that saved me some money. The only concern I had was that on the phone, the estimate was that the work should take 2 hours, and it ended up taking 3(I thought 2 was optimistic).

Recent Review: Jeff Hicks of Faith Electric sent a couple of his electrical technicians to my home. They were very professional and completed pulling the new wiring and installed the new outlet in around 2 hours. They did an excellent job and I was able to have my new appliance delivered several days later. I did not obtain other estimates, therefore am not sure how Faith Electric's price would compare with other providers. I was satisfied with the price Mr. Hicks quoted with the work, however.

Recent Review: At first Dennis was professional and his rates were reasonable. Despite his abrupt nature, we felt he did a first class job. However, when he learned that we were working with a designer, his demeanor and prices changed accordingly. We asked his several times for estimates on ongoing jobs but he continually put us off. When he did inform us of the cost, it was three times greater than his original bid. We then agreed to have him finish the current job he'd undertaken but not anything further. Instead of performing in a professional manner, Dennis chose to install the last lights by causing more damage than necessary that had to be fixed at our expense.

Recent Review: All the work has been done in a professional manner. Scott and Juan did a great job installing the new deck floor and building the wall and roof systems. By going with a gable roof we are able to use a ridge vent to remove heat from the attic of the screened porch. the ceiling was insulated and a vinyl ceiling installed as was the electrical outlets for outdoor use. The exterior vinyl siding was installed on the gable and soffits and eves. Everything looks great and the vinyl siding helps matched the screened porch with the house. In other words it doesn't look like a add on. It looks like it was originally designed to be a part of the house. Everyone did a great job on this screened in porch and the roof system attached to the existing roof very well and the new roof for both the porch and house tied it all together. Blair did a great job.

Recent Review: Ralph the Handyman was punctual and professional. Ralph left my home neat after working several hours each visit. Reasonable price. Quiet but attentive. Replied to my question and helpful with suggestions on improvement, which ended to be awesome. If the rating was higher - above and beyond - heck yes.
