Austin Wallpaper Installation

I worked with Randall on this project. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the product. From the initial visit/assessment to the final install, Randall was prompt and kept to schedule. He followed through on all his commitments making this is a very positive experience. Prior to installing the paper, Randall made sure I understood what to expect and even called my attention to some potential issues that I was not aware of. He was extremely detailed in his work, very professional, and competitive in pricing. I would highly recommend him to others who would like a professional finish to their wall papering installs.

David did a beautiful job with the wallpaper. He came out promptly to give me a bid and arrived on time the day of installation. It was a complicated paper to hang, with a big, bold pattern and a 1/4 drop repeat. Plus our walls were textured and needed to be smoothed out. David was able to complete the job in one day, cleaned up thoroughly afterward, and was careful not to waste the remaining wallpaper. It looks great. I'm very pleased with his work.

I had been having problems getting someone to wallpaper my bathroom due to the building / remolding boom in Austin. Through Angie's List I contacted three of the top-rated installers and only one - Hang Em High - cared enough to respond, Randall agreed to come to my home the following Saturday to give me an estimate. He arrived on time, gave me a reasonable estimate, and I hired him. Although he advised me it would be about two weeks before he could get to me because of other jobs, he actually arrived early to perform the work. My 50's bathroom has lots of corners and short runs, and the wallpaper I had purchased was difficult to install, but Randall did an amazing job. There were even two places where he voluntarily removed the wallpaper and installed new sheets due to problems beyond his control because of the pride in his work. I was very happy with the work he did, and would definitely hire him again in the future.

I couldn't be more pleased. Really. I walk into my bathroom and just stare at that wall and just love it. I can tell you that if I had tried to hang it I wouldn't be loving it. But Randall did a super job. And it didn't take him hardly any time at all. It was really a simple, straightforward job and he was willing to come all the way across town to do it. My wall has quite a bit of texture to it (sigh), and he gave me the option to have the texture removed too at additional cost, understandably. But I opted to not remove the texture. Of course, I notice the texture there, but it still looks fantastic. I totally recommend him. I have never ventured into the world of wallpaper before and I was not about to do it myself. Hire the guy who knows--it's Randall.

Horrible workmanship!!!! Did not prep my walls as needed resulting in the textured finish showing through the paper. When questioned about it HE WALKED OFF THE JOB!!! Stated that it was not possible to cover the texture and he was an expert!!! This was after he rescheduled my start date (after I waited 6 weeks), and then showed up 1-1 1/2 hours later each morning than the time he was expected. He likes to brag that he has been hanging wallpaper for over 35+ years- it's obvious he shouldn't be doing it any longer. Rude, unprofessional, and unqualified.

Everything went great. One item came in with the incorrect fabric. It was a mistake by the company. It was corrected immediately. Kris is easy to work with and provides great insights especially when I as the client would waver.

THEY WERE CREATIVE AND VERY GOOD ABOUT HELPING US PICK COLORS, PATTERNS AND SHOWING US DIFFERENT OPTIONS. OUR KITCHEN LOOKS GREAT NOW, MUCH MORE COLORFUL AND THE INSTALLATION WAS GOOD.

Jim Cooper did a great job at a reasonable price. Our walls were in bad shape, and he was meticulous about preparing them for the wallpaper. The installation was flawless. If I need this service again, I definitely will call Jim. He stayed in touch when there were delays in his schedule, and I really appreciate that kind of communication.

It went very well. Jim is an excellent craftsman who is passionate about his work and cares about providing a high quality end result. Installing wallpaper is apparently a rare trade this days and with limited options, it's great to know that Austin has such a tremendous talent in this area. Jim was punctual, professional, skilled, paid attention to detail, and instilled total confidence in me that he was going to finish the job and finish it well. He's also funny, personable, and generally a cool guy to have around your house for a day or two. I'll definitely work with him again and I'd highly recommend him!

Wallpapers-to-Go is easy to work with on choosing a wallpaper because you can buy a bunch of rolls of wallpaper, come home and try them on the wall, then return them all (within 60 days so you have time to think) and they record your selection. Then I got the other work done I needed to do before the wall work. Then, their installer, Juanita Carson, came out to estimate installation. She was good about explaining the scope of work. I bought the wallpaper rolls to have at home and paid the store and she came out and did the work. I don't know how she can work so perfectly around stuff on the walls but it could not look any better. It is beautifully done and the bathroom looks fantastic. Very happy and will use the store again.
