He said it was not guaranteed. He made it clear that the thermostat was the problem, and would most likely be the problem for any future malfunctions. He was very honest with me.

I have had AUSCO AIR work on my rental and personal home AC several times (repairs and/or general maintenance) over a decade. I always call him first. I called and left a message. That same day Mr Cahill called me back and asked what the problem was. I described the symptoms and he asked a few questions (happened suddenly, over time, overall temperature of AC, last work performed, etc). He said he'd be at my home the next day, we arranged an appt. He called before arriving to let me know he was on his way and to ensure I was at home. He began checking out the unit, inside and out. He tested and eliminated several other potential issues. The unit is more than 10 years old, so he told me that was a possible factor. He ruled out lack of freon, electrical issues, fan motor still functioned properly but warned it was going to need of attention eventually. He determined the capacitor was "fried" and the thermostat was outdated and could be replaced with a more efficient (digital) model. He quoted all of the parts (2) and labor. After I agreed, he completed the work in about 45 minutes. The AC was tested and running again, very cold, in one hour. The whole visit was about 90 minutes.

Recent Review: I made the appointment for the preventive maintenance the week before. Arise called me the evening before to verify the appointment. Larry called when he was enroute and gave me an estimated arrival time. He arrived within ten minutes of actual appointment time. While performing the maintenance he advised me of the overall conditions of both units and our duct work and he recommended future maintenance are repairs to prevent failure. We also used Arise Air one time last year and the service was the same quality. Sorry I don't remember the details.

Recent Review: Jade, the owner of ATX Air, is fantastic. I used Jade initially to inspect an old AC system at a home I was buying. He came recommended. The AC is the original; close to 15 years old and the former owners of the home had several window units installed. I was concerned I would have to replace the whole system. Jade diagnosed the efficiency of the AC system well, repaired a leak, replaced a few parts and it works great now! Very fair price for his service. Since then he installed a thermostat for me and replaced the motor on the AC. Still humming along. When I can afford to replace the system I will use ATX Air. Jade is extremely honest and very skilled. I also had ATX Air fix my old furnace. The heat went out in the middle of winter. I called ATX Air. Jade had the necessary part in stock, and I had heat withing 24 hours. A+ service and price.
