He came and attached some shutters that were loose and tweaked the ceiling fan. He was very nice, courteous and on time. I would use him again in the future.

blind was fine although jury rigged at installation. Shutters were a disaster from start to finish. Tried to jack up the price on second attempt at installation.

Handyman showed up on time (a little bit early in fact). He was very friendly, courteous, quickly installed the ceiling fan and cleaned up well afterwards. Would recommend them.

All fixes requested were completed in a timely manner. Jemel was super professional and knowledgeable. He explained process and didn’t fail to ask me if I was satisfied. This man knows what he’s doing. Mr Handyman is my “go to” for all home repairs. A great job.

He came on time and reap aired the fence and stained my garage door. It came out very well. He purchased the stain for me and I decided to have him stain my porch and shutters as well. He did a good job.

I was told the company did not have ladders tall enough to reach the 2nd story. I was told their longest ladder is 20 feet, which sounded tall enough to me, but the receptionist said the handymen said it wasn't. I was pretty surprised to hear that a handyman company would have difficulty figuring out how to remove 2nd story shutters and wouldn't work with me on that. They did not make any recommendations on who to call to have them removed

Tex Painting LLC

Tex Painting and George Varela were great to work with from the very start. They responded quickly to my messages through Angie's List, made an appointment to see me within a few days of my request and explained everything thoroughly. They agreed that items could be repaired rather than replaced. (Other companies wanted to tear out whole siding panels that had minor problems and replace them with Hardie products.) They were able to start one week from the estimate date. George called the day before the start date to let me know when workers would arrive. Everything went according to schedule and the work took the estimated number of days. Tex Painting clearly had the sense to include possible delays in the estimated time. The time estimate was 4.5 days. The workers started about 1 p.m. on Monday and finished about 1 p.m. on Friday. George came by several times to check on progress and make sure I was satisfied with the work. Best of all, the price was much lower than other bids. The other bids I had were $6,000 and $12,000. Both of those bids included replacing perfectly good siding and trim with Hardie products

Played telephone tag a couple times before connecting, but this isn't unusual when both parties are busy. He showed up on time and gave us a written estimate, suggested some changes to the project that accomplished our goals and saved us some money. We accepted his bid and scheduled the work. He called ahead of time to coordinate an adjustment to the schedule...we accepted. Work was done on time and in a workmanlike manner. I was well satisfied with all aspect of the job and plan to use him again as projects present themselves. He's very easy to talk to and puts you at ease from the get go. I like the man; he's just plain folks, if you know what I mean

Ja-Mar Roofing & Sheet Metal

The first day of the job, the carpenter and his crew were fired for doing a terrible patch job on the chimney siding. The next day, they assigned a woman to the job that had never done anything but paint. . She did not manage her crew well since they arrived around 11:00 every morning. They took smoking breaks every 20 minutes. Most of this crew was toothless and tattooed and jittery. They were respectful to me but careless in their work. Communication between management and the crew was nonexistent since the crew failed to follow any of the requests and agreements that I had made with management. Mangement would speak to the crew but the errors were not corrected to my satisfaction. They always gave the excuse that they were not told anything. they made so many mistakes that I have to start the entire job over. The window was defective and it has NOT been replaced despite many requests on my part. The guy who installed the window used an electric saw to cut sheet rock in the house and created so much dust that I had to hire a cleaning crew to clean my house since I am asthmatic. The crew never had the tools or the materials they needed to perform their jobs. They kept borrowing mine. They failed to measure the shutters for my front windows . The shutter on the large window is so disproportionately wrong because they installed a 2 inch trim above the window that prevents the shutter from reaching the top of the window. The siding crew was the best part of this job despite that they were left on the job without food, water, toilet or a vehicle. According to some neighbor, this crew urinated on the side of my house daily since they were not allowed to leave the job site. This is the worst experience of my life. When I tried to speak with someone of authority, the project manager said he was the Vice President of the company and that I had to deal with him. Fortunately I have photos and documentation on everything. I will warn you to NOT hire these people for siding or window jobs. I specifically requested that the job be finished within one month due to my work schedule but it is still NOT finished and they started in march

We bought a new house that needed some items fixed. Called company off of Angie's list. He came next day and started the work. Finished it all up the day following. Paint job was very professional. He made sure to check out all areas of the house and found things that the home inspector over looked.

It went great! He was on time and finished as scheduled. It was only one day late but it did rain so the exterior painting had to wait. I gave him a key and trusted him completely and had no problems. The house looked so great when finished that we got a contract on the house within a week of it being on the market! When I buy my next house I will use Jeremy again
I had the best experience with Tara K and Austin WIndow Fashions. I shopped around and had other consultations but found Tara to be very knowledgeable and a joy to work with. Tara understood my needs and what I wanted and was able to put together a lineup of possible solutions and walked through each one individually; banded shades, silhouette and roller shades and a bevy of colors. I really enjoyed Tara's enthusiasm, humor and professionalism. I will definitely use Austin Window Fashions in the future
THEY WERE PROMPT, TOOK THEIR TIME IN MEASURING AND HANGING MY WINDOW TREATMENTS AND BLINDS. THE WALLS ALL REQUIRED BOLtS AND THEY HAD TO DRILL AND IN SOME CASES REHANG THE TREATMENTS.
Everything was fine and the shutters look great and we are absolutely please with the results. Another great job well done by the Moreland's. We had 3 sets of shutters installed last year and we loved the results so much, that we had the dining room window done this time. We love these shutters so much. I have an order in for 3 more window to be done when the time and money allows. They are very understanding about waiting on our schedule of work that we can be done. Very great company to do business with
From the coordination process with Tyler McDonald, to working via e-mail with Mark Lopez and Antonio Guzman to coordinate payments and date of install, to the date of installation with Brandon -- My family and I appreciate the company's responsiveness, flexibility, professionalism and attention to detail. The costs can become extensive; however, we are very happy with the product. We like this company so much that we are looking at future projects on our home with Cortina Shading Systems. We recommend this company to anyone looking to install external shutters on their home (same type shutters used in Germany/Netherlands...Europe)
I can’t say enough good things about Casa! My wife and I cross referenced Yelp/Angie’s List/NARI (austinnari.org) and came up with a list of 5 companies that looked the best. We interviewed each one before settling on Casa. The project manager, Eric Stordal, was very knowledgeable and honest. He had a bunch of great suggestions in that first meeting so we knew we wanted to work with them. The contracts were drawn up and the work started about a month later. Max and Steve were assigned to the project and they were both were outstanding. They were very meticulous in their work and really clean. We thought this remodel would be a nightmare of trash everywhere but it was the complete opposite. They also explained every phase of the project to us in great detail and offered suggestions along the way. We became friends with them all and had absolutely no problem leaving them alone in the house all day. They’d simply lock up and text when they were leaving. The work is so seamless that you can't tell it was ever a garage. The process was so smooth that we’re already thinking about our next project. Stop looking and give these guys a call
We had never a built a home before and were a bit nervous about such a big project, but Joel was so easy to work with and walked us through the process. All of the subs did excellent work and were very timely. Joel always worked to try and get the best price he could for us with the subcontractors and he made sure the work was high quality. He finished the project ahead of schedule and we have a beautiful well built home
We were very happy with them. We never had any problems. We looked at other companies, but these guys were local. It was all wood shutters, so we went with them. Very professional, they were very timely. We moved into a brand new home and they are the ones that did our blinds and shutters. The cost was high but it was not outrageous. All of the windows were taken care of. They were really good at suggesting what should go where. They did not try to sell us shutters when blinds would have been just as good. We have one blind that has a little chip in it after 10 years, I do not think that is bad

STEPHANIE IS FANTASTIC!!! My needs are small and out of scope for A-plus but that’s not the end of this story. Before calling me to say so, Stephanie researched other businesses that might be a better match. When she called to say A-plus can’t work with me, she also had name and phone # of company she’d ALREADY CALLED HERSELF to confirm my needs are in their scope of services. Who does that??? My only regret is that I don’t currently have need for A-plus’s services but you can be sure they’re top of the list for future need. Stephanie is a true gem!

What do customers in Austin say about Shutter Installation?
The two handymen who worked on the projects were prompt and professional. I had purchased needed hardware/supplies prior to the visit, and they spent the entire time on the projects. I was impressed with the quality of work, and would use this company again. This was a "Big Deal" promotion.
