The men who did the work were on time, polite, efficient and did exactly what I wanted them to do with the materials I provided. When there wasn't enough of the new screening material for the whole project, they re-used the best of the old screen to finish up. They cleaned up completely, including any screws and staples they removed, and disposed of the waste. I was very happy with their performance and the look of the completed porch. There were no communication issues whatsoever. Very professional!

It went very well. The bid was competitive. The team came (with agreement) to start the job sooner than planned and completed it as expected. Very happy with the results - the counters and new tile back splash look great!

Rick with Capitol Screening came out promptly when I called, gave me a bid which I accepted immediately because I already had done some calling around and had other bids. Rick's bid was very fair and I liked his personality. We shook hands on the bid and he promised delivery within 2 weeks. He was right on time. He installed the window screens himself in a morning and attended to a couple of details that were needed . The screens look great. I am very pleased with the screens, the pricing and the professional manner of Capitol Screening. I would recommend Rick to anyone needing this type of work.

Best Austin Handyman & Remodeling did a really, really good job. He was very pleasant to work with and it turned out well. I could highly recommend them. It was right away that we made contact and set-up a time for them to come out, I don't remember precisely but it seemed like reasonably soon, like within a week. There was some equipment, I ran to the store and rent at Lowe's because I didn't want to take his. I was paying him an hourly rate and I didn't want to take his time. I was going to be out anyway so he made a list for me of some items that I need to purchase and it was a fairly low cost, under $150. There's little pieces of hardwood that he needed. I did not ask him for reimbursement for that. It didn't occur to me that that was appropriate. The only thing I would discount was the initial conversation and it was with the guy who came out. I felt like his attitude was casting doubt on whether they can help me and I thought was pretty odd and that was a concern to me. It was more asking me what needed to be done and all I can do was describe the problem, I didn't know what needed to be done that's why I was asking them to come out but that was resolved pretty quickly. I just said at the end of the conversation "why don't you just come out and take a look and see what you think." From that point on, I have absolutely no complaint and I thought he did an excellent job. I think the price was a huge discount, their pricing was very cheap. I invited him back to fix a gate in my fence and he did a good job.

It went very well overall. Warren made several excellent design suggestions as well as overseeing all the work. The initial time estimate was 3 weeks, and the work took about 6 weeks -- but we added the screened porch late in the game, and we actually anticipated the longer timescale and planned for it. Warren hired superb subcontractors for the exterior work and painting. The HVAC company was good except for stepping through our living room ceiling while working in the attic. (They repaired the hole perfectly just one day after the incident.) The end result was really wonderful. The quality of the work was superb, and Warren was an easy person to work with.

Jon Polson, the owner of JP Construction, came by promptly as soon as I called to inquire about Hardie Siding. He was friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable. He got me an estimate quickly, and they started our job three weeks ahead of schedule. The Hardie crew was on the job early everyday and they picked up all their tools and debris at the end of every day. The Hardie work took a little over a week including painting and this is for a two story house not quite half brick. I was impressed by the way that the crew managed the job - they didn't strip everything off at once - we could still sit outside on our porch every evening and on the weekend and enjoy our yard. The crew was friendly and approachable. They were careful of my landscaping. The deck crew started after that and it took about three weeks This crew was pleasant as well, and they removed their tools and debris every day too. They had to add materials to stabilize the decking for the Trex. They did incredibly detailed work on the deck trim, that had to be done in wood, not Trex. The screened in porch is also very pleasantly simple and detailed as well in its construction. I simply described the look I wanted for the porch and that was enough! It is all so gorgeous. The screened porch is a dream come true! I am so happy that we had this work done by JP Construction.

Rick Sims and Jeremy were great in getting our windows measured and screens made exactly to-fit. The new solar screens makes a tremendous difference in the look of our home. The old screens had started fading and were bent so we were unable to open our windows for fear of bugs and lizards getting into the house. PROBLEM SOLVED!
