Brian Fuller of SSR did a great job for us. No more leaks! We had others work on our flat roof, but we always ended up with problems and when we had problems, the others were nowhere to be found. SSR did our neighbor's roof (which had also had problems) and SSR did a great job there as well. SSR was 100% professional and timely. They showed up on time and returned calls promptly. When Brian was on vacation, his brother, Ben, was ready to help us (but we did not need it). We will definitely use them again, but I doubt that we will need it :

Horizon Construction, Inc.
Well, Horizon was the only contract that actually submitted a bid. So that gives them an A+. When Horizon came out for the estimate they actually did some temporary patching FREE of charge. So, we really didn't have too many issues with the fact they were the only bidder. The team was fast and cleaned up the site. The job went great! ...from start to finish! This Is my second attempt in repairing a back porch that was installed improperly and material use was not sustainable for the pitch of the roof Gavin came out and inspected the roof and explained what was wrong and what needed to be done to repair the problem.( noted: the original contractor substituted a material that was not adequate for a flat roof ) Gavin's crew was easy to work with and very efficient!. They answered all my questions and even installed a a ceiling fan for me ( without a charge) ....because i was trying to do it by myself!... what a great bunch of people...Thank You Dann

Before contacting Ace Roofing, we spoke with another roofer who said we needed to replace the entire roof, not something we wanted to do. So we looked on Angie's List and found A-rated Ace Roofing. We made an appointment with DJ. He came out quickly and at the time he said he would. He inspected the roof and found where the water was probably entering. He and his crew also found other problem areas. They showed us the weak spots, explained why they were a problem, and how they would fix them. We chose to have them fix all of it. Shortly after the repair, we had a major rainstorm. No leaks! (And much cheaper than an entire new roof.) We would recommend this company without hesitation

Oliver Brothers Roofing
I cannot say enough good things about Milton Oliver of Oliver Brothers Roofing. There are a lot of bad roofers in Austin, but Oliver Brothers will be the only roofer that sets foot my property. My house has two additions that have flat roofs. The skylights in one addition had leaked incessantly almost since I bought my house.. After i tried numerous times to fix them, and paid another roofer to fix the problem, I called Oliver Brothers based on a friend's recommendation. He replaced the tar and gravel roof with a torch down roof. Since 2010, I have had one problem with the skylight leaking. Milton came out the day I called. Turned out to be a defect in the skylight, not the roof. Nevertheless, Milton fixed it for free. In 2013, the other flat roof, which was replaced in 2005 by another roofer, was already starting to look pretty bad. Milton replaced it and I've had zero problems since. Flat roofs are notoriously hard to keep from leaking. I was up on my roof checking for signs of hail damage in late March 2014 after a storm. Both flat roofs look brand new. I'd also like to share that I had Milton come evaluate the roof on my rent house recently. Although we agreed the roof was poorly done (not his work) and would need to be replaced soon, he advised me to wait for a hail storm. He could have sold me a roof that day, but he gave me his honest opinion knowing he'd get my business when the time is right. Oliver Brothers Roof will treat you right. I highly recommend them

Stay Dry Roofing of Tampa Bay Inc
Stay Dry was willing to take on repairing roofing job incorrectly done by another company that caused a leak and damage to our home. Stay Dry explained what needed to be done, and provided a very reasonable estimate. Not only that, but the person who came out to do the job explained everything he was going to do, and even took pictures for me of the improperly installed ridge vent and the underlying wood (and damage) after he pulled the shingles off. He showed me other damage (wood rot) that the other contractor had missed, as well as explained why the original ridge installation was not correct. Additionally, they removed the old chimney and sealed the sides of an additional flat roof for me. As a result of the original roofing company never getting an inspection of any kind, I had to pull a permit myself and get the inspection done. Stay Dry was willing to work with me under those conditions. They did a wonderful job. It looks great, and no more roof leak

We received a detailed proposal of the basic work to be done, including several options, the materials to be used and the prices for the basic project and the options. The work was done promptly and efficiently with a very diligent crew and a competent supervisor. The crew worked long hours to make up for time lost due to intermittent rain. The only significant complaint I have has to do with the difference between what was agreed upon and signed by me and the company's representative and what was actually done, two flat roofs to be stripped completely and reroofed with specified materials. This was done for one roof, but not for the second one. Instead, the second roof was not stripped down to the plywood, rather, the existing cover of the roof was overlayed. This was not according to our contract. In my non-professional judgment, this change must have saved the company money both for new roofing material and for labor. Unfortunately, I was not able to negotiate a lower price

We did get what we expected from them. They did a nice job of cleaning up after themselves as they didn't leave a single mess for me to clean up. Our experience started off good. The manager that came out to give us the estimate was very nice and professional. The work crew that came out to do the work arrived early and was very efficient - not too messy. However, there seemed to be a communication and/or language barrier between the manager and the work crew because the work was not completed as discussed at the time the estimate was given. The crew had to repair the roof 3 times in two months. Six months later, the roof leaks again; now worse than ever. They have been slow to respond to our calls for assistance (our roof is thankfully under warranty still) and we are still waiting to hear back from them (4 days later with more rain on the way). I will update the report after they respond

Armadillo Roofing & Exteriors
I have had such a negative experience with Armadillo Roofing that I'm telling everyone I know (and those I don't) not to use them. Perhaps they do a decent job on pitched roofs but either they don't know squat about flat roofs or they deliberately do shoddy work to increase their profits. Armadillo installed a modified bitumen roof on my duplex in March of 2011 with a 10-year warranty that is pretty much worthless. In the 3-1/2 years since the roof was installed there have been four leaks! Only 3 months after the job was completed, there was already a leak in one of the units. The owner Mark Franz came out and identified the leak, a "pinhole" but a leak nonetheless which they repaired. Then in November of last year a more significant leak occurred above the other unit. This time Mr. Franz tried to blame the leak on siding work performed by another contractor a couple of months prior (the roof has 3 different elevations and there is siding abutting the roof at these locations). The siding contractor pointed his finger back at the roofer and neither would accept responsibility for the leak. However, I will give Armadillo credit for stepping up and taking care of it even if they didn't claim to be responsible. But keep reading... Then in February of this year another leak occurred in the other unit, this time more significant but confined to a corner in one bedroom. Mr. Franz came out and looked at the area, asserting that the leak was coming from an area of deteriorated siding above the leak and not the roof. I would have used his company to replace the siding this time but it took 3 weeks to get an estimate and then it wasn't even what I had asked for. (Hardie board above the roof and standard wood siding at other areas below the roof that needed replacing). So I used a different contractor this time to replace the siding in the vicinity of the leak. I thought it was all taken care of until the next rain proved me wrong, sickeningly wrong. During the last heavy rain storm last month, the leaking was worse than ever, affecting both the ceiling and wall upstairs and a large area of ceiling downstairs. It rained intermittently all week and, interestingly, even after the rain stopped water was still seeping down the wall upstairs for two days! My poor tenant had to use a bucket and emptied it several times over the course of the week. That is not a leak due to any kind of breach in the siding or A/C unit penetration flashing as Mr. Franz contends. Once again, he is blaming the siding contractor (remember, a different one this time) or the A/C unit penetration flashing (there was a small hole in the caulk around it). Because, of course, the siding contractor denied responsibility as well, I felt I had no choice but to hire an independent professional roofing consultant to give me an unbiased determination of the leak source. Both of these contractors had my money and I was stuck with a leaking building, disgruntled tenants, and potential for a mold issue if the leak continued unabated. So I engaged the services of a professional roofing consultant with 47 years? experience who had no stake whatsoever in the outcome of the issue. And guess what? He conclusively identified the roof as the source of the problem. He described numerous flaws in the workmanship documented with photos in a 10-page report and given the specific nature of the leak, there is really no question the roof is the culprit. The very last statement in his report sums it all up: "The roof was installed defectively in all areas as shown in this report. The roof should be replaced in its entirety." I have filed a claim with the BBB and will pursue legal action if I have to. I will not allow this guy to get away with selling me an inferior roof job and denying responsibility by blaming others when there is conclusive, clear evidence that he (and/or his subcontractor) are at fault. If you still decide to use them, don't say you weren't warned!!

Highly recommended!!!!!!! I have a house in Round Rock TX. I needed to replace my roof, I called Caden Roofing and Karen answered, she was so nice and amazing over the phone. Karen transferred me to Fareed, I had so many questions for him. He answered all of them, professionally and with patience. ( I’m in the roofing business as well in California, so imagine how many questions I had for him). Fareed toke the time to go to my house and check the roof, he was very honest with me from the beginning, Fareed and Karen coordinate with my tenant all the time, and kept me posted with every step on the way. We did complete demo new roof, Owens Corning shingles and new gutters. The price was reasonable for a new roof and new gutters, after I talked to Fareed I canceled my other estimates for the roof. I was very pleased with the results and the way they handled everything. No extra money added, no lying or sales pushing What the contract said that’s what I paid. The neighbor saw a hole in our roof. It was on the side of the house over the garage. We called a roofing co. To come out. They said they wouldn’t fix it until the trees were trimmed on the other side of the house. We called a tree trimmer, he couldn’t get to it for a month. We looked on Angie’s List and found Texas Cool Roofing, they came out right away. Fixed the hole on a SATURDAY because they said it looked like rain. They said that they would come back out to replace some shingles on the side where the trees needed trimming. We finely got the tree trimmed and Texas Cool Roofing came back out and replaced the shingles. We highly recommend Texas Cool Roofing

After various hail storms this spring, we developed leak in our roof and I called a handful of roofers to get bids on a repair. Acura Roofing was the first to send someone out and little did we know that they would be the most honest one of the bunch! Of 6 roofers contacted, 4 tried to upsell me a whole new roof and file an insurance claim; one of those didn't even have the courtesy of telling me what price would charge and would only talk directly to my insurance agent. Acura was one of the 2 that said our roof actually had plenty of life left and only needed repairs and maintenance, and not replacement. This was confirmed when the insurance adjuster came to check. Of the two who recommended repairs, Acura was the only one organized enough to produce a quote. The other had lost our paperwork somewhere in the process. By the time everyone had looked at the roof, Acura's quote had expired. When I contacted them by email, they kindly honored the original price and were able to put us on their schedule for the next week. Acura was quite timely when communicating by either telephone or email. We really appreciate Acura Roofing's honesty -- the cost of the repairs they completed was significantly less than our deductible for replacing the entire roof. We highly recommend Acura Roofing without reservation

Couldn't be better. Work team not only replaced the vents, they repaired framing that was deteriorating from water leakage. Guys worked on this for over two hours, making sure installation was done correctly. Two days later we had another batch of storms with heavy rain. The roofing team was available much sooner than we'd expected, and were able to start our job within days of signing the contract. They arrived at the planned time (7am) and got the job done in a day, as expected. We were provided with photos of the job in progress and after completion. It must have been done right, because we had heavy rain a couple of days later, and no leaks. All details that we mentioned beforehand were covered in the job. All communications were through Jason, who was responsive and helpful in every exchange. We are quite satisfied and plan to call Matthew Lorand Co for roofing and other work in the future.
