BARTON SPRINGS PAINTING
5.0
My husband and I were very pleased with the work and customer service of Jeff and his crew at Barton Springs Painting. Jeff is passionate about his job and that is reflected in his quality of work. We had our kitchen entirely redone and the last step was painting our cabinets white. The cabinets recently survived a visit of rough preschoolers riding around on their toys and some spills of Indian cooking (which wiped off right away with a paper towel). Jeff was very prompt at returning my phone calls/texts and was very clear on what the process would be while his crew was here. Everything went very smoothly and the cabinets look fabulous! I am so glad we went through Barton Springs Painting.....they took their time to make sure everything was prepped before painting which resulted in a great paint job that will last. Thanks Jeff and crew!

I originally had four people come over and give me quotes for all of this. Brian was the most professional and informative. He originally told me it was about a week job....well they were done in three days. THREE DAYS!!! I was amazed and very happy with the end product. Richard ( the lead painter ) was great to work with too. I'd love to have these guys out in the spring to fix some rotted wood and exterior paint. Thanks again

Tex Painting LLC

Tex Painting was awesome to work with! My wife and I have been trying to figure out what to do with our kitchen cabinets for the last year and a half since we have moved into our home. We finally decided that we wanted a nice, clean look and chose to paint our cabinets white. Based on reviews on Angie's List I contacted Tex Painting and got a response the same evening with information about what they would do and wanting to schedule a free estimate. Barry came out to our home and gave us an estimate on the work done and walked us through the process and how long he anticipated the work to take (3 days total with a crew of 3/4 guys. He was very patient with our questions and was knowledgeable with how paint would hold up on our types of cabinets. After speaking with Barry we were very excited and the quote was much less than we were anticipating. They were able to get us on the schedule the next week to start the work of painting our cabinets. The crew was prompt and spent most of the first day prepping the area. These guys do not mess around when it comes to prepping. They covered EVERYTHING. Our kitchen was encased with plastic, the counters, appliances, floors, etc. were all covered with heavy paper/plastic to ensure no paint residue got on anything other than the cabinets. Another very cool thing was I was concerned about the type of paint to use on the cabinets. I did a lot of research because I am anal and I was torn about which paint type to use. Barry gave me a contact to talk about my research and give me a suggestion of his company?s product. I was super impressed that Barry took the time to listen to my crazy rants and point me in a direction to give me peace of mind in my decision on picking the type of paint I wanted to use. Once everything was prepped (rest of day 1 and day 2) the crew sanded the cabinets, primed them, caulked the seams, and applied the first coat of paint (sprayed on). The crew was on time and worked from about 9 to well after 6. That evening when I came home from work I was eager to take a look at the cabinets and I was a little concerned as there were drips and dark spots on the cabinets where it looked like the paint absorbed into the wood and I didn't like the way it looked. Scott Miller (who is the owner) was also the project manager for my job. I expressed my concerns to him and he called me about 30 seconds later letting me know that this was just the first coat and that they needed to let the paint dry a little and settle on the wood before they could fix any of that the next day. I felt much better after talking with Scott and knew the guys would take care of it the next day. Day 3 the crew arrived again on time at 9am and began working. They actually repainted ALL the cabinets with a second coat of paint and corrected all the drips and spent another full day working. Once they were finished the crew lead walked me through the kitchen and let me inspect all the cabinets. I was extremely impressed with the finished product. The dark spots on the cabinets were gone, the drips were non-existent and the crew cleaned up all the prep materials. Eugene explained that we needed to keep the cabinet doors open for the next 24 hours to ensure the paint was dry and before we started putting everything back in our cabinets. It has been a couple of weeks since the work has been done and my wife and I could not be happier with the way the cabinets turned out. The paint job was excellent and I will definitely be contacting Tex Painting again when I need some more paint work done on our home. If you are looking for a company who makes sure the customer is happy, just stop looking and give these guys a call

Crosstown Painting
5.0
I interviewed many painters before I settled on Colton with Crosstown Painting and I am so thankful I found him! Colton and his crew took exceptional care in painting our kitchen cabinets inside and out. This was a huge undertaking as we wanted the cabinets spray-painted using the Benjamin Moore cabinet coat. Colton completely enclosed our kitchen in plastic from floor to ceiling and covered all appliances and the floor to protect from overspray. He did the same in the garage where the drawers were taken to be painted. We specifically asked him to leave the cabinet doors on (as they were originally painted that way and the hinges were there okay to be sprayed) and he was more than happy to comply with our request. He was very thorough and paid close attention to all the little details. Afterwards, he touched up some other areas on my walls and then did a great job of cleaning up. Locating a painter is hard enough, but finding someone who is completely trustworthy, super friendly, and does exceptional quality work without rushing through it to get to the next job is a challenge. I hit the jackpot with Colton. As a bonus, he also power washed our driveway and front porch and I never imagined they could get as white as Colton got them to look. It's this quality and outstanding customer service that allows me to highly recommend them for your painting needs

I had to leave town to care for ill family member and explained in detail what I wanted done. I also left a friend here to keep an eye on things. AS they say, when the cats away.....they only put one coat of paint on, two was the agreed minimum, and two of the cupboard doors where rehung upside down and wouldn't even close. The job had to be redone and doors rehung. Unbelievable. Multiple attempts to contact Isaac failed. He finally showed up on my doorstep promising to return the next morning to fix the job, of course he was a no show and no answers to my messages. Beware!!

Jeff and his team recently helped us with the painting aspect of our remodel in South Austin. I can't say enough good things about them. They are meticulous in their work, taking the time to do it right the first time. We had them paint our oak kitchen cabinets white as well as some other new cabinets in the house. They also painted all the banisters and spindles, as well as all the trim, interior doors, and walls. The previous owner of the house had made the mistake of painting latex over enamel, which was causing all the trim and doors to peal and appear blotchy. Jeff and the team were able to sand it all down and make it look new again. I was also particularly impressed by the touch-ups phase of the project. As they were doing a lot of work in my house and coordinate around other contractors, this phase was particularly important for a good result. I hardly had to point out anything, as they took their time going through each room touching up any areas where it was needed. The results speak for themselves. If you are looking for top notch painters, look no more. I will definitely use Barton Springs Painting again in the future and highly recommend them to any one who asks

We remodeled the kitchen and three other rooms in our house. We had another painter we had used before do the other rooms first. While the work was OK, we were not confident he had the skills to do the kitchen. Neilson was recommended by our decorator. We had him remove the popcorn from the ceiling, remove a light box, make extensive wall repairs due to a cabinet removal, paint the cabinets (inside and out), and repaint the walls and ceiling. He worked well with other contractors, coordinating their work. While he cost a little more, his work was outstanding! It's been a year since this was done, and it still looks like new (indicating he used good material and painting techniques). We were so pleased, we also had him return and redecorate a half bath

Terrific! George and his crew did a great job - the prep work was simply amazing! Kitchen was painted two colors, living room was all white. It looks beautiful, clean, bright and cheerful. They were very punctual and professional. I also had them paint the ceiling and stairwell baseboard. I had a coupon that they offered and it was worth it. They cleaned up everything when they were finished. I am delighted

Rudy's Painting & Drywall

We chose to let our child draw on his bedroom walls with crayons. We loved it, but were ready to paint over it. Rudy's crew came in and did an excellent job of painting the room in no time flat. We were very impressed with both the work performed as well as the clean up. I did, however, find old paint in the front yard. I am not sure how to get around that, but with two children under age five I would prefer to not have old paint left in the yard

It went great! I would recommend them to anybody! The contractor was on point. He helped me pick out some stuff that I had questions about which one would look better. Highly professional, I am extremely satisfied.
Very, very well. David is all of those things listed above: professional, reasonably priced, punctual, responsive, and provided best quality of finished product. We were so impressed that we have contracted him for further work (painting cabinet doors--each one a different color), which he will begin tomorrow. High marks. Excellent work! Update: That second project has been completed, including some last-minute changes we threw at him, which he took in stride. Beautiful work, well done. Thanks, David

Casey was very informative and responsive. His bid wasn't the cheapest we got but he specializes in painting cabinets, knows what he is doing, and we are very glad we went with him. Todd did the bulk of the painting and he was very detailed, cleaned up after himself well, and always kept us informed of what was going on. Overall we are SUPER happy with our cabinets. They are beautiful

Mark and his team do amazing work! They are very concientious and paid close attention to my needs/wants. Mark and his wife Lynn were fantastic to work with and I absolutely love the look of my kitchen. They're currently working on refinishing my entryway and hallway.

What a great experience I had with Donna and Bob Twomey and their crew at ProTect Painters! Professionalism, thoroughness and attention to detail, friendliness, listening to my needs and concerns, and the list goes on. And the beautiful painting job they performed on my home met my highest expectations. My first meeting was with Bob, who impressed me with his breadth of knowledge and suggestions of items I hadn't even considered. He provided me with a very detailed proposal and did not push me to sign a contract on the spot. Once the job commenced, Donna and her crew arrived promptly each day at a time that Donna made sure was convenient for me. She communicated with me in detail the entire time, and ensured all was to my satisfaction as the job was underway. Her crew thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day, always with a smile. This was my first venture into a home improvement project like this; Donna and Bob were so helpful and reassuring, explaining the process and answering my many questions. I highly recommend the the Twomeys and ProTect Paint, and plan to let family and friends know of my very positive experience
