Robert and Julie Peoples are great to work with. They made the selection of materials, scheduling and installation easy. We probably could have saved some money going with a larger flooring company or box store, but it was great getting to see the materials in our home and knowing that everything they carry is good quality. We had a tricky project because we were trying to match/coordinate existing carpet with new carpet. The end result isn't perfect, but looks much better than before. Robert was very up front with the fact that matching old carpet is next to impossible. The price quoted was the price paid even though they had to do extra prep work to level out the floor to install some tile in a bathroom. The installers were very professional and prompt and the Peoples were good about checking in on the work. I was a little surprised that Robert didn't come by to see the finished project, but we were happy and would use them again

I was quite pleased with their service. The work they did was great and I had no problem at all. The only problem I had was that they did not cover the place properly and almost half of the house was covered with dust.

Blain did an excellent job cleaning my tile floors. I have several dogs and people in my home who are constantly dragging in dirt on their feet or paws, even though we try to keep it clean. I regularly sweep, but hadn't mopped in ages and it was time for a professional to do the heavy lifting for us to clean about 700-800 SF of tile. Equipment - Previously being in an outdoor cleaning service business, I appreciate people who invest their money in the right equipment for the job. That's what I got with Blain. As soon as I saw the demonstration video on his website, I knew I wanted an estimate from him, as his equipment was simply the indoor version of my own outdoor equipment - the safest and easiest way to clean a large, flat surface. Timing - He was prompt in arrival for both the estimate and subsequent service. Professionalism and Knowledge - Blain was professional on the phone and in person, taking the time to fully explain each step of the process to me without acting like a 'know it all'. I could tell he knew what he was doing and never felt like he was rushing to get finished with me so he could move on to his next job. I cancelled the other estimate I had scheduled. Price - It was a little more than I expected, but after it has been completed, I have no regrets as I got much more thorough work than I expected to happen. The Job - Blain first vacuumed my floors, then applied a light chemical to help loosen the top layer of dirt and allowed it to sit for about 10 minutes. After that, he used a type of floor buffer to agitate the dirt and finally cleaned it all with a hot water tool that simultaneously extracts the water via a vacuum. He did this section by section and even moved all of my heavy furniture for me with furniture sliders. Impressive. Overall - I would definitely call Blain again as I'm always looking for a professional to do the job once and do it right, so I don't have to worry about it. That's what I got with him and the extra money was worth it for everything I received in the service. I would not hesitate to recommend him to a friend

Joe came out to my house to give me a quote on the same day that I initially called. He is very friendly and professional and provided me with a very reasonable quote to tile my kitchen and laundry room floor and to install a new back splash in my kitchen. The tile installation went very smooth with no problems what so ever! The technicians (Kee Kee and Victor) were very professional and came to my house on time everyday to perform the work. They did a phenomenal job on the back splash and the floors!!!! I would highly recommend this company to everyone who needs new tile installed in their home! They guarantee their work and you wont be disappointed!!!! Their prices are also very reasonable!

Very responsive. Needed repairs prior to Thanksgiving holiday. Tom was very accommodating and his tile installer Barry was great. Very good with communication throughout the process as well as follow-up. Once we get through the holidays we will use these guys to replace the floor.
The experience was great! The first day it was a little dusty because I think the tape off the plastic came off, but after that everything was extra taped off and we didn't have any issues. We were very happy with the attention to detail and the level of respect we received from Mr. Delgado. Thanks Again for all your handwork
Working with Floor Coverings International was wonderful! From the initial sales call, to choosing the materials and all the way through the installation - everything was professional, friendly and prompt. Our project was completed on time and on budget. Highly recommend this great company!
Working with Kris Miller was a delight and what a transformation! Our kitchen is good sized and the storage is decent, but it is dated with the honey-colored maple cabinets and lack of lighting. I had a limited budget, so this was just a make-over using existing cabinets and doors, with the exception of the island. Kris and I decided to use the same color cabinet color as the one in the laundry/mudroom room: Benjamin Moore White Dove. I have some dark espresso wood accents in the house and the new island was stained to match these accents (wine niche, stair railing and fireplace mantel). The biggest decision was with the countertops. Kris knew exactly where to go in Austin and took me to a couple of stone and granite yards. She quickly knew what would and wouldn’t work with the overall goal being to open up the kitchen and create a lighter, clean feeling space. We selected Astoria Granite, which can work both in cool and warm spaces and has beautiful movement, but is soft with the pattern. For tile selection, we kept the color monotone by going with a white marble to continue the cabinet coloring down the wall to meet the countertop. However, we had some fun with the pattern and her intuition of an arabesque 3x3 tile was right on. I have a light fixture in the entry way which is the same style. Two of the most impactfull changes from Kris were removing the bar height countertop and taking it all to one level. It really opened up the space. The next was to increase the island size and create a new design with drawers and some open storage at the end for baskets (to collect all the loose papers that tend to find their way on countertops) and cookbooks. Kris sketched out a design for the carpenter and it turned out beautiful and very functional. Lastly, we added some more space in the kitchen and gave it a custom look by encasing the refrigerator with a new cabinet. I love the extra space and look! In addition to the kitchen make-over, we also re-stained the hardwood floors and painted the walls. Kris helped with the both color selections and offered to show me the paint selection on one of her client’s homes so I could see an example of the paint applied. Kris is a joy to work with and this is not our first project she has helped me with in our home. She also designed our Master Bath for which she was honored with Best Bathroom Makeover. She is very professional, knows the right vendors and she does a fabulous job of reflecting your style with her inspirations
The floor was installed in a 43 year old house. The foundation was more uneven than expected an the old walls and flood repairs presented challenges. The installer did a beautiful job of floating the floors so there is no flex or noise. The representative helped find wide baseboards that matched the door frames and other trim but also helped cover up wall gaps and damage. No one knows the floor isn't wood. The maintenance is easier than wood or laminate flooring. We love it
I had originally called asking for help in putting the transitions between my tile and hardwood floor between my kitchen and living room. I just couldn't figure out how to make it work right--based on my DIY project. In addition, I had an entrance where the tile was a different level than the hardwood. Finally, in an effort to level an area where the previous owners had the floor leveled, using a sander, I "lowered" the floor to much creating a dip in my flooring. This was not good. They came in, fixed all the transitions (including the ones going into a bedroom I'd forgotten about) but the big thing was he took up over 1/2 the floor to get to the 'dip'. He poured a compound on the area and smoothed it out to now be level with the rest of the floor. Then replaced all of the hardwood (again). It all looks great now. Then I asked them to replace the faucet in my sink. All done in a 1/2 day. Very happy with the results
I have been using carpet stop for years on my rental units and my home. These guys are excellent. Their prices are as good as any I have found, On tile and carpet there installer is magnificant. They have learned to work with my busy schedule with the duplexes and get in measure, priced and installed with minimal inpact on my time. I can't say enough good things about this company,
I wrote this review 2 months after the completion of the job as I am a firm believer in giving things a little time to settle in to know if you are truly satisfied with the product. In the seven years since purchasing our home my wife never warmed up to the travertine flooring, preferring hardwood. I finally realized that trying to justify keeping the travertine was a losing proposition. As the saying goes, “If momma ain’t happy ain’t nobody happy”! We went to a local flooring company and my wife picked out the flooring she liked and they came to our home to measure up the square footage. I told them that I wanted the job bid as follows: (1) The cost per sq. ft. on the demolition of the travertine. (2) The cost per sq. ft. on the hardwood flooring we picked out and (3) The cost per sq. ft. to install the hardwood flooring. The shoe molding, T-molding, adhesive etc. could be put into the actual estimate they would present. I always think it is a good idea to get a second and preferably a third estimate. I telephoned Total Pro Flooring and met Brian over the phone and asked if his company could get the specific flooring we were interested in. He said he would check with their supplier and get back to me. I also gave him the same parameters of how I wanted the job bid. In less than an hour he called back and gave me the figures. Total Pro Flooring’s pricing came in at 25 cents per sq. ft. less on the demolition, 50 cents per sq. ft. less on the installation and $1.63 per sq. ft. for the hardwood flooring. Based on this I told Brian to come out and measure the area to be installed. I then called a third flooring company who gave me a quote on the three main issues of demolition, installation and product costs. The third company was pretty much in line with the first retailer we contacted. The first company measured the area at 1,300 sq. ft. and Total Pro Flooring’s measurement was 1,106 sq. ft. (almost 200 sq. ft. less). Both companies said they would add approximately 10% to the measurement for scrap and cutting. With such a disparity in price I wondered if maybe they were going to use a second grade of materials so I asked Total Pro Flooring the grade of flooring that would be installed. They said “First Quality”. Every box of product they delivered the week before starting the job clearly stated “First Quality” on the manufacturers label affixed to the end of each box. When I returned the flooring sample to the first company and told them we were going with another company; they inquired why? I did not tell them who was getting our business but I did share the 3 major cost figures with them and that their measurement was 200 sq. ft. more. The only reply was “well good luck with that bid”. My reply was that if they miss-measured the job it would not be my problem but their problem as we had a signed a contract. Brian came three times to our home while the installation was being done and Chad, the owner of the business, came to our home the day after the job was completed to look things over, to thank us for our business and present us with a Bona floor maintenance kit. When reviewing our project we looked at the Pro’s and Con’s. The Pro’s were the price (almost 20% less than the first estimate), the product we choose and the professional installation with the job being completed a day and a half sooner than estimated. The Con’s - all the dust from the demolition of the travertine but the new flooring made it worthwhile. It has been my experience that every business when asked why someone would do business with you is an almost automatic knee jerk response, “We give good service” but it has been my experience that very few businesses actually provide good service. When I shop for goods or services, I may go where I am attracted but will return where I feel I received good service and that my business is appreciated. Total Pro Flooring delivered excellent service and made us feel that our business WAS APPRECIATED and we will do business with them on any future flooring projects
It went perfect. When I first called I was looking to have radiant barrier done. They took the time to explain issues they had noticed with radiant barrier and advise to go with blown in insulation even though it was less expensive. They could had just sold me the more expensive radiant barrier and I would have never known about the issues. Nice to know there are still honest contractors out there. They even helped with my CPS rebate. They were on time and when they finished they not only cleaned up but left the area cleaner than it was before they started. Would 100% hire them again
Chris came on time on three visits and did what I had outlined for him to do with the Squueek No More repair kit. Job went well. Except an area on the floor where the joists were not accessible from above, the squeaks are gone.
Door To Door Flooring did a superb job installing the floor. It's definitely a professional work. The owner and the main worker were great communicators giving me information to help me make informed choices. They were very polite and were there on time to all appointments.
I would highly recommend Petty Tile & Carpet. They are family owned and very service oriented. Summer was very patient with me and helpful in choosing the different colors and patterns for tile and carpet. Her sister Desire did the install of the tile and it is perfect. She took her time and was a perfectionist on the difficult cuts so that they lined up perfectly. The carpet installers where in and out in a couple of hours and very professional. Several times the father Eddie was at the store after hours and allowed me to come in and switch out samples. Again they are a very service oriented business and where very professional every step of the way
John was great! We added on a couple more areas on site that he hadn’t planned on but had time to do and was happy to fit them in. I really appreciated his flexibility!
