R&R Hot tub repair

Rob went above and beyond to make sure my problem was solved completely. I have even sent friends to him that he was able to solve a problem for that their regular pool company couldn’t figure out! I’ll use him for all my spa needs!

SPA EXPO
5.0
Needed to replace a 20 year old hot tub. Visited multiple Spa Sales establishments throughout Austin. Quickly determined that Spa Expo had the most helpful, knowledgeable staff and offered the best options for our preferences. . The entire process from product selection to removal of old tub and installation of new spa was seamless and 100% professional. To be honest I can’t remember when I experienced such a positive, pleasant business transaction. We are totally pleased with our new Hot Springs Spa and look forward to a long-term association with Felipe Castaneda and his team at Spa Expo. I would do business again with this establishment in a heart beat.

Hot Tub Rehab

Did the "move" part well (although 3 hours late to pick-up site), and has a great "spa dolly" to handle spa moves carefully. However, did not follow through on installation at time ("too dark"), did not respond to follow-up request, but still charged full price (which was to have included the hook-up). I would still recommend Steve et al. for moving a tub, but be clear on services to be performed, pricing, etc., as the level of professionalism and accountability is not "A-Rated."

HINES POOL & SPA INC

Our small Coleman hot tub was losing 1-2 inches of water every day. I had looked in vain for the leaks. Hines found the leaks in 15 minutes. After the ordered parts arrived, they fixed the problem for $150 less than their horseback estimate.

We could not have been happier with our purchase experience with Media at Spa Expo. She was really pleasant and fun to talk to. She showed alot of patience for us to decide on a hot springs envoy. Haven't received our hot tub but cant wait.

ABSOLUTE SPA COVERS
5.0
The spa cover that was in place when we moved in had gotten old and worn, so we decided it was time to replace it. As it turns out, there are lots of variations in spas and you can't just pop into your local spa warehouse to pick one up. Using the tools on the ABSOLUTE SPA COVERS website I was able to easily measure all of the angles of my spa and select the color and thickness of the cover. Within a very short time and on schedule they delivered my spa cover and it was a perfect fit...just as I had hoped! I hope I don't have to replace it again for many years, but I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.

Mr Spa Co

Mr. Spa (Dave) did a great job diagnosing and repairing our broken hot tub. The hot tub wasn't heating so I replaced the heater myself but that didn't fix the problem so I called Mr. Spa. He said that the problem was with the pump that forces water through the heater.Unfortunately replacement parts for a hot tub are expensive but his markup wasn't too bad over internet prices and his labor prices were very reasonable considering his expertise. He's a nice, personable guy too.I would highly recommend this vendor for hot tub repairs.

Mr Spa Co

He was able to replace the heating unit on the hot tub. It worked great when he was finished. I had previously replaced the heater with one that I had purchased on the internet and Mr. Spa's charges for replacement parts was about the same as the heater I bought online. His labor costs were also pretty reasonable.

A Tex Family Fun Center South

After visiting several Hot Tub, Spa Dealers, we went back to A-Tex. They patiently answered our many questions and went to great lengths to explain details without applying pressure to purchase from them. Their delivery was prompt and efficient. Again, they were patient when I wanted to exchange the steps for a different color. They have been very helpful with us as "novice" spa owners, and made us comfortable when we asked questions or sought advice, no matter how foolish the question appeared. We have been delighted with their service.

They were good overall but weren't perfect. Their products were good. Their quality was good but they don't have a lot of time. I don't think any of the companies do.

Recent Review: I posted previously about the fantastic job that Anthony&Sylvan Pools did in every phase of our challenging pool installation from design, to site prep, to above ground construction (e.g., we're at the top of a big hill and the surface of the pool and deck needed to be raised up approximately 10 feet to be level with our back patio) through to final commissioning (see attached photo). What I want to report about today is the great job their service team has done in the year plus since startup, in particular the work done by A&S service technician Paul Oliver. The few issues we've had have been relatively minor with exception of some intermittent failures of the heater to fire up when it hasn't been used for awhile. Intermittent failures are tough to diagnose since they may not be readily reproduceable by the technician when he comes out for repair, but thanks to Paul's detailed knowledge and experience with pool equipment he was able to quickly identify the most likely root causes and methodically work through them until he was able to isolate the problem to a faulty propane gas igniter, which he promptly replaced. And last but not least on an unrelated note, I've also found Paul to be very knowledgeable and helpful with respect to guidance on some of the more advanced techniques for maintaining optimal pool water chemistry as well (e.g., Langelier Saturation Index (LSI), PH buffering with boric acid, etc.). In summary, thanks for the great job, Paul, and we feel blessed to have you on our pool maintenance team!

Recent Review: This is an update to my original report on Cen-Tex Plaster submitted July 2008. John Scofield, the NEW owner of Cen-Tex Plaster, came to our house in September of 2008, jumped in the pool, inspected it himself, and told us that Cen-Tex would re-plaster the pool at no cost. The pool is now refinished and it is beautiful. Our experience this second time around has been very satisfying. I commend all of the staff that we were in contact with for their courteous business manner, good communication concerning scheduling and the re-plastering process, and trouble shooting several existing problem areas of our pool. To their credit, the folks at Cen-Tex did some additional work to help solve some of the problem areas and did not charge me for the extra work. They removed 12 obsolete floor jets and plastered the spillway between the pool and spa. I didn't expect these extra changes to be done for free - but they never brought up the issue of payment. Our pool has been finished for approximately 2 weeks and we are in the high maintenance phase of dealing with new plaster. The surface is smooth, there are no chips, and there is considerable less plaster brushing off than before. I respect Mr. Scofield's leadership and willingness to turn this bad experience around. As a consumer recommending businesses to others, I have to say that I am 100% satisfied with my experience with Cen-Tex this second time around. I encourage any potential customer to thoroughly discuss your wishes and expectations concerning a replaster job with any company you are considering - and I highly recommend Cen- tex to be at the top of your list.

Recent Review: I put most B's instead of A's because although I have always been very satisfied with the completed repairs on our hot tub, there is some room for improvement in other areas to receive A's. If you have an above-ground hot tub, you know that it can be a bear in terms of maintenance. And, finding someone to repair it is difficult as well. Mike has been very good. He is a pro when it comes to hot tubs. The areas where I would dock him are in responsiveness-if you're on a time line and need it done quickly, forget about it. Sometimes he can come later that week, sometimes not until the following week. If you need a part for the repair, there's always an unknown delay there too. The bottom line is, however, that the job gets done and gets it done right. And if someone can do the job and do it well(especially in a specialty field like this where good technicians are hard to come by)I'll cut 'em some slack. BUT, I think he should try to improve in this area.

Recent Review: From the initial call to when the job was complete I knew all that would need to be done and our leak was repaired less than an hour. Turns out it was caused from a field mouse chewing through a hose and making a home. I paid no more than the 75.00 service call. We have referred Hot Tub Rehab to other friends and all were happy with the quality of work and most of all honesty. Steve was our technician: 512-332-4769
