Holman's Quality Plumbing

He was a bit grumpy to begin with, but, in the end was quite helpful and competent. He did not maximize his profits on the job.

While Bob Lemmons and his crew arrived on time they jumped into the work so fast that they did not take time to listen to me, the client. Bob seemed to have forgotten much of what we had discussed about the work when he gave me the estimate. The work was sloppy, rushed and they tried to cut every corner possible. When I tried to express my concerns about the work, they argued and told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I hired another company to send out a Master Plumber for a diagnostic call ($57). ABC Home and Commercial Services was timely, honest and considerate. With the diagnostic list they provided my husband was able to knowledgably request that Bob Lemmons and his crew finish the job as needed and within International Code standards. Among the many things he cut, he did not install a condensate loop in the tankless water heater vent--this VIOLATES the WARRANTY of the heater. And now our roof is leaking where the supposedly experienced roofer that works for Bob Lemmons punched the vent. The gas line in the kitchen for the stove will need to be rerouted and we don't trust any of the work this guy and his crew did. I would never hire him again and I would never ever recommend him. If you are considering installing a tankless water heater, contact the manufacturer for a list of qualified service providers. I got this guy's name off of the Rinnai website only to discover later that they do not screen the dealers listed on their site. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED. He cuts corners to save himself--not you--money. He did stick to the price on the estimate and he was fast. Too fast

I used them about five years ago. Then they got very busy and we had to wait a couple of weeks. We started using another company. They did very good work, but they charge a little more.

It went very well. Roberto arrived as scheduled. He looked at the project, arrived at an estimate, determined that he had the necessary supplies, and completed the job on the spot. I'm very glad to have this off my list of things to do.

Clarke Kent Plumbing

This turned out to be an extensive job. A walk-through exists between house and garage so pipes had to be run across this open area and insulated and hidden, then around two walls in garage to location where washer and dryer would be placed. Gas line too had to be run from house through the open area walk-through (hidden again) and then across two walls. Pipes outside had meet a certain code because sunlight hit them. This job took many more days than estimated and we were not charged one extra penny. Many trips had to be made to bring this/that/the other that turned out to be necessary and which couldn't be known ahead of time. Inspection passed all city codes. Excellent job! Excellent responsiveness

ALICE PLUMBING CO

I can't say enough how Ruben at Alice Plumbing did such a great job in fixing my problem very quickly and professionally. He was very prompt and kept me informed on what to expect in troubleshooting the issue and what costs would look like depending on what the problem could be. He did a great job and completed it in good time. This is my second time using Alice Plumbing and I will continue to use them as my first choice for my plumbing needs

I called on a Monday and asked them to come to house to give me estimate on job (installing gas pipes on existing property). They committed to Wed morning. I called late morning to check status and they rescheduled from morning to afternoon. They came, said they would email estimate. Nothing. Called left message on Saturday. No return call. Same on Monday. No contact. Left multiple messages Tuesday and they said they would decline the job. Why would it take them so long to communicate

David Manning Master Plumber
5.0
Dave is a local plumber who does a great job. He must know more than just plumbing because he also repaired the gas line from my municipal gas line. One time over the phone he walked me through a water problem I had and I fixed it. He charges a reasonable hourly charge.

The plumber was friendly, professional, and safety-conscious. It was a small job, but I wanted a pro to do it correctly. The Angie's List discount helped keep the price down.

I don't know what has happened to this company in the past few years but a reliable plumbing service company has turned into the plumber from h*** that you should never call and will soon go out of business (if they don't figure it out). We have spent thousands of dollars over the years with this Clake Kent Plumbing (CKP) and we have been loyal customers. In the past year, things have gone to h***. The latest (and likely, last) example happened yesterday, the day before Thanksgiving. A major appliance broke in our hme and needed to be replaced, which required a plumber to hook up a gas line. So, being a loyal CKP customer, I called and scheduled an appointment. I was told it would be after hours and there would be an additional charge, which I was all too happy to pay, in light of the circumstances. After all, I had spent hndreds of additional dollars mobilizing appliance vendors and hiring special delivery services to get everything to my home for CKP to hook up. So, then we waited... And waited... We called the 24-hour answering service at 7pm to ask what the status was, and received a very curt response from Amber at CKP saying, "our plumbers are still on other jobs... we will get to you"... I called back at 9pm, again leaving a message on the answering service requesting a status update, only this time, Amber didn't return the call. Being patient and understanding, I let it go. I called again at 11pm, leaving another message with the answering service, which again was not returned. It being the night before Thanksgiving, I again let it go, believing that at SOME point, our plumber would arrive and save the day. Surely, Superman, wouldn't disappoint a loyal customer and stand him up on a major appliance installation the day before Thanksgiving. We waited until 1am for the plumber and finally turned off the lights and went to bed. We are hosting friends and family in a few hours... We spent literally hundreds of extra dollars to get appliances in our home and ready for CPK to show up and do their 45-minute job of uncapping and hooking up a gas line. And NOTHING. I called the answering service Thanksgiving morning and left a much more detailed message and Amber called me back, displaying rudeness and an attitude. When she realized that we weren't someone calling out of the yellow pages, but a long-time customer, she switched to lying, saying she had returned my calls. She hadn't... I have an iPhone, there were no missed calls, nice try, but don't lie to a customer -- EVER! You know, Superman, there is an old saying... "Happy wife, happy life!". There's another older saying, "If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!!!" Well, this morning, and today, I don't have a happy life and ain't nobody in this house is going to be happy on this Thanksgiving Day because you have the wrong person scheduling and handling your after hours calls. I mean, come on, dude. Next time someone calls in the afternoon needing prompt service (you're a plumber, this can't be the first time this has happened), tell that customer that you can't get it done so they can find someone who CAN and WILL handle the job. But, don't handle it like this. Or you should expect a lot more negative feedback, just like this

Clayton was prompt, courteous and did top quality work. We will use him to complete the next part of our project and Highly recommend him. He was highly knowledgeable about the work and we felt good about the work being done properly
Excellent. From the first response to scheduling to a thoughtful (and reasonable) quote, to the work itself, I was pleased with my experience. I will definitely call Legend Plumbing first for my next job or repair.
After my request at the Angie's website, Burl's reacted swiftly. Daniel (wearing proper mask) came to our home and replaced the damaged, old cartridge with the provided new one. Daniel was polite, he worked quick and the shower handles function is perfect, once more.
They replaced one toilet and fixed the other. They also check out all of the sinks, tubs and water heater to make sure they were in good shape. They also showed me my water cut off valve which I was unsure of where it was.
Daniel's came out, assessed the problem professionally and then were able to do our major repair next-day. It was easy to see the total price as well as the technician's ETA. Additionally, they were in compliance with Austin tree ordinance and permitting requirements.
The dispatcher forgot to put me on the morning work order, so the plumber arrived late. Other than that, everything went well. The plumber's estimate for the work was reasonably priced so we proceeded with the repairs. He did the work quickly and took the time to answer all my questions about both device function and town regulations. He measured and adjusted the water pressure on the house side of the RPZ after installation and cleaned the yard where he'd been working. I also asked him about an old back flow protection device on my sprinkler system. He said it was working fine and recommended against replacing it until if fails. That was actually a test to see if he'd try to perform unnecessary work. He passed with an and quot;Aand quot;. I'll use him again
Touchstone was excellent. We missed connection the first time he was due to come out (my fault - I was at the Home Depot and my cell phone did not ring). Touchstone himself came out to make the assessment and said it would be a small job and that he would schedule one of his people between other jobs. After several days, because they were busy, he came out himself and switched out the gas line connector (it was too high on the wall for my new stove). It took about 20 minutes. In the end he refused payment for such as small job (small maybe, but with the potential of blowing up myself and my house, I don't like to take chances with a DIY job) and said 'remember us in the future for bigger jobs'!! How often does that happen? I will certainly use them again. They were always prompt and responsive when I called, despite the first scheduling problem that I caused myself. Easy to deal with. Ahhh....Mondays - something always seems to go wrong - thought I had a backed up line and just needed it snaked out - no worries. Called home warranty provider to send someone out to take care of the problem right? Wrong. It wasn't just a clogged line and I received an ungodly estimate and the home warranty didn't cover it- yikes! Enter my knight in shining armor, Mark, from Pure Plumbing. He was able to come out to the house within the hour! After digging around in a tank full of *muck* he was able to diagnose the problem (tree roots had grown into the tank and burned out the motor on the grinder) he gave me an estimate $1000 less than the company that shall not be named and said he could have the work done by 7pm that night - and he was right. I was very pleased with the service I received and the fact that Mark took PRIDE in doing his job - a rarity in this day and age. I would highly recommend the services provided by this company anytime

They came out quickly to bid the job. I had to call a couple times to get the estimate. I set the start date and they started on time. The job went well, they took care not to damage anything on the property and a nice job of cleanup.

Excellent work - Wilson Plumbing will be my first choice next time I do plumbing repairs or renovations. Very very courteous, friendly, and professional. I'm very pleased with the work both while it was being done and with the outcome. [note: I thought I submitted a report right after the work was done, but I don't see it online, and want to be sure I do have a positive report on the site.
This is the plumber you want to call in the Bryan /College Station area. During the remodeling of my house I have used, or had contact with, three different plumbing companies and John Gause is by far the best. I used the Angie's list site to schedule an appointment and was contacted shortly afterwards to discuss the work needed and confirm the time. The plumbers arrived as promised and went to work . The quality of their work , and their knowledge of their profession, was better than the other two companies combined and their pricing was very reasonable. You cannot afford sloppy work when dealing with a gas line and this company did a top notch job. I would not even consider using anyone else after this experience
