My garbage disposal made a very ominous sound. I called Union Jack Plumbing. I received an immediate call back and selected a garbage disposal which was installed on the same day. Great Service. I have used Union Jack Plumbing for years for plumbing problems of various sorts and have always been pleased with the work done

Perfect. Danny was a professional. He replaced the disposal, and it didn't take him long to do it. He answered all my questions and explained what he was doing. He even showed me how to reset the disposal if I ever needed to.

Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning

We noticed water leaking beneath our sink and called Radiant since they had previously fixed an outdoor faucet leak for us. The technician came out and diagnosed a faulty seal on our garbage disposal. He gave me several different options to replace it and we went with the comparable one.

Austin's Best Plumbing
5.0
I call Austin's best plumbing because I found great reviews on the list. the was the garbage disposal which I have unstuck before but now it was stuck again. I called Rick and he gave me a simple tip to unstick and didn't charge me. Turns out, it worked but if it breaks in the future, I will definitely call this honest plumber

METRO SERVICES INC

We were assigned this company for a warranty repair on our garbage disposal. I called to make an appointment and they were out the next morning. I was given a 4 hour window with the promise of a call prior to service man arrival. I received just that from a gentleman that i was a little concerned from the sound of his voice. He arrived and while not professional in appearance (or smell- strong cigarette smell), he was the most kind man. He observed the problem and explained that he was going to give me a lesson in garbage disposal 101. He explained that it was a simple fix that he hated to have to charge me for. Sure enough, it was something I should have been able to do on my own but now I know for future reference as he explained it to me from start to finish even leaving me with the tool that I could use the next time the problem happens. He was kind and I appreciated his knowledge. He also gave me his thoughts on another problem that we are having although it was not something that was listed on the workorder. I will recommend this company in the future

Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning

Very pleased with the technician, David. He was knowledgeable, courteous and able to do the job without question. I will definitely call on them again for my plumbing needs. The prices may be a little higher, but if that means they do the work with quality parts and don't have to return later to fix again or repair what they just did, then perhaps that is reasonable

MacLin Plumbing Co Inc
5.0
Our garbage disposal quit working. Fortunately, our home owner's warranty covered the replacement. They sent out Maclin Plumbing who contacted us promptly and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Maclin showed up when they said they would and accomplished the replacement in about 15 minutes. Everyone we spoke with was pleasant and professional. The price shown was only our homeowner's insurance copay and does not reflect the total cost, of which we are unaware

They were excellent. They finished the job in good time and they came when they said they would. I will not use them again because their price was way too high. The quality of the work was great, just the price was outrageous.

Handyman Connection of Austin-Westlake

John was very courteous and informed. He was qualified for the job and both called ahead and showed up when he said he would. I plan on using this company again soon. Great job.
They were very kind to help me out. They were super friendly especially John Alba. He keeps me up to date on what was happening and what needs to be done. Super informative.
Mike was wonderful! He came and unclogged the sink on the day we called, Christmas Eve! We already had guests in the house and could not go without sinks in the kitchen. He was cheerful, efficient, and effective! Thank you very much for all your assistance!! We will be calling again for the next plumbing problem that comes up
I called to have service on my outdoor faucets. My call was handled promptly and a date was agreed upon to come out. Joe was on time and had a very clean and neat appearance. He explained what he was going to do, so that I understood what to expect.(Joe wasn't aware that my family had all been plumbers and that I knew what should take place.) He did his job in the approximate time that he had told me it would take. There were no surprises or additional charges. Everything went smoothly and his work was exceptional. I would definitely recomend Joe. I'm calling him soon to do the rest of my plumbing
We had a older tank water heater that just wasn't heating the water to our liking and were having multiple problems with it. We had done some research on tankless water heaters and wanted a Noritz water heater based off of what we read about it. We saw that Austin Facility Services were running a great promotion on this exact water heater so we gave them a call. Ernest was quick to respond and worked around our busy schedule to get our new water heater installed. He went over all the warranties we had from the factory and even gave us a year warranty in labor from his company. He also let us know that he would winterize our home free of charge for using him as a plumbing provider just in case we hit a late spell of cold weather. Bottom line our experience with Austin Facility Services was amazing and we would recommend using these guys for your next plumbing service or even calling them if you think you have a plumbing problem. They know their stuff and explain things very well! Happy we landed on them first and we plan on using them again in the future
I had experienced whole house blockage and called Moore and More because my sister had used them. They promptly fit me into their schedule. They performed the service explained to me and showed me what had clogged my pipes. The problem was remedied. They were expensive, but the work is guaranteed (which I don't find often with plumbers). They also offered a platinum service that allows a yearly inspection of pipes and discounted service calls and future service needs. I took advantage of that plan. Everything was explained in detail before, during, and after the process. Great company and crew
I was connected with them through a Home Warranty company, so the cost is not reflective of the total cost were they hired outside of the warranty. They showed up at the time they gave me, and worked with me to get a replacement heater that I would be happy with. They were interested in doing a quality job that would last, not just the minimum to get by. I do a lot of home repairs myself, and I can honestly say that they did a much better job than I could have done
Just before pre-xmas weekend, Doug came out morning following my call. On time. Great start :-) As with other plumbers, he agreed can't be fixed and so need a new one. He could also install new one the first morning I returned from Xmas trip. Would he show or not show on that day was my worry...I really needed hot water (leaking water heater water valve off and put on vacation mode.) I The previous and quot;reputableand quot;, highly rated plumbers or referred to me by busy highly rated plumbers assured me they knew the code and my job would be done to code. They explained what that would entail and all said no permit needed. Doug was last to come by b/c last one called (last two plumbers were no shows). He also went through the code details verbally, and through and quot;life and safetyand quot; check that would be done by inspector b/c permit required by city. (eg, check for working smoke detectors in certain parts of house...yep, inspector checked; so no bs). So far, I was really glad last two no-showed and came across Doug. Doug emailed me a VERY detailed bid that same afternoon which was actually cheaper than the others who had said permit just extra cost and hassle. There would be no miscommunication in what would be done day of job with him; that's for sure. Liking this guy a lot now. We set up the date. fyi-Others refused to either write a bid beyond vague phrase plus price, price, or nothing at all. The worst was a guy who does phone 24/7 quotes (yes, I was desparate after 2nd no show). This guy says most plumbers are rip-off's by charging for more than unit cost. He said had a better Rheem unit than one I had found on Rheem site, He gave me the model # and I told him the specs of that model are not as good according to Rheem's website. He proceeded to demand I tell him why then do the units have the energy star sticker on it? I said I don't know, but energy factor is only .59 and specs are .67 now; mine is .62. He arrogantly said, but his has a better Annual Operating Cost and that's what matters. Wrong again, as I look at models and their specs. I told him he really needs to look at the Rheem site; it really is quite informative and helpful. He was beyond angry, so I realized, I just needed to hang up and did. Other plumbers may have lied about permits (and so will other tradespeople), but they didn't try to sell me (and is selling to others) something that is not what he claims the model to be...energy star and more efficient than is. Someone told me he probably bought a bunch of old units from someone cheap. Who knows, but makes since b/c saw that ehe .67 energy factor for energy star rating standard has been around since at least late 2010 for direct vent tank gas heater. Back to Doug: Doug opened the city code permit required for the job and paid the fee for permit, showed up that morning as promised...and showed up on time! Did everything to Austin's City code. Called in the inspection. Actually showed up for the inspection (not required; but is required inspector has open access if someone not there. Passed inspection! Th city Inspector was very impressed; said most plumbers would not have done a few things Doug did (and would have failed) and that he did some things very well ((like replace ceiling drywall (to attic) and replace rotting wood holding up water heater in garage closet)). Some fixes were issues with firebreaks and venting which could have caused problems resulting in major structural damage or death for me. High odds; no, but why not do the work...remember...Doug was still less than rest and did more work...and did it right. Permits: Most people in Austin don't realize there is a City of Austin permit database for probably every home b/c almost every home has had permits opened to build or replace HVAC or something. Once a permit is opened, it must be closed after passing. Sometimes the inspector forgets or your tradesperson did not pass and so is out there as failed (I had an inspector forget on previous home). If never closes b/c passed, within 6 months or so, it gets marked with a different term and you will have to possibly get it reinspected and pay to re-open it. I could not close on previous home until all permits passed or closed and it was not fun. I got lucky finding out before buying it; could have been a HUGE deal breaker for us. On the other side of coin; if a permit has not been closed, then good luck getting new work done. Why do I say all of this? 3 reasons: 1) no one (including most realtors) tells you this stuff when you buy in Austin and is very important. City rules your world! (word of advice: treat inspectors respectfully, be quiet, and as if gods even if you think they are (and may be)) wrong; they can go out of scope of job inspecting and make your life he!! It is not unheard of for inspectors to look up in database any new looking work done on house when not in current scope of work. 2) Doug actually printed off the page that shows it passed and I am ready to roll again. He went out of his way to once again, ensure I was taken care of. Wish all tradespeople worked like he did. May whoever you pick be as ethical, thorough, and good at job as Doug. Doug is a straight shooting, nose to grindstone guy; a keeper on my and quot;Golden Listand quot;. One plumber and one electrician; more to go. Thanks Doug

What do customers in Austin say about Garbage Disposal Installation?
I asked for my warranty three times but they never gave it to me. I still want my warranty. They charged me a lot of money for garbage disposal. They gave me very expensive garbage disposal when they could probably have given me a medium priced garbage disposal.
