John Gause Plumbing
This is the plumber you want to call in the Bryan /College Station area. During the remodeling of my house I have used, or had contact with, three different plumbing companies and John Gause is by far the best. I used the Angie's list site to schedule an appointment and was contacted shortly afterwards to discuss the work needed and confirm the time. The plumbers arrived as promised and went to work . The quality of their work , and their knowledge of their profession, was better than the other two companies combined and their pricing was very reasonable. You cannot afford sloppy work when dealing with a gas line and this company did a top notch job. I would not even consider using anyone else after this experience

It went really well. Louie kept us informed every step of the way. The project ended up requiring a bit more than was anticipated but we are grateful Louie discovered that the original terra cotta sewer line was leaking and had been shoddily repaired with terra cotta roof tiles and roof tar. Louie answered all of our questions and was very professional. Bonus: we had been told by our home inspector that we most likely needed to replace our stove. Louie was able to fix the gas line to the stove, thereby saving us hundreds on a new stove

While Bob Lemmons and his crew arrived on time they jumped into the work so fast that they did not take time to listen to me, the client. Bob seemed to have forgotten much of what we had discussed about the work when he gave me the estimate. The work was sloppy, rushed and they tried to cut every corner possible. When I tried to express my concerns about the work, they argued and told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I hired another company to send out a Master Plumber for a diagnostic call ($57). ABC Home and Commercial Services was timely, honest and considerate. With the diagnostic list they provided my husband was able to knowledgably request that Bob Lemmons and his crew finish the job as needed and within International Code standards. Among the many things he cut, he did not install a condensate loop in the tankless water heater vent--this VIOLATES the WARRANTY of the heater. And now our roof is leaking where the supposedly experienced roofer that works for Bob Lemmons punched the vent. The gas line in the kitchen for the stove will need to be rerouted and we don't trust any of the work this guy and his crew did. I would never hire him again and I would never ever recommend him. If you are considering installing a tankless water heater, contact the manufacturer for a list of qualified service providers. I got this guy's name off of the Rinnai website only to discover later that they do not screen the dealers listed on their site. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED. He cuts corners to save himself--not you--money. He did stick to the price on the estimate and he was fast. Too fast

This turned out to be an extensive job. A walk-through exists between house and garage so pipes had to be run across this open area and insulated and hidden, then around two walls in garage to location where washer and dryer would be placed. Gas line too had to be run from house through the open area walk-through (hidden again) and then across two walls. Pipes outside had meet a certain code because sunlight hit them. This job took many more days than estimated and we were not charged one extra penny. Many trips had to be made to bring this/that/the other that turned out to be necessary and which couldn't be known ahead of time. Inspection passed all city codes. Excellent job! Excellent responsiveness

We have used Fox Service for years and years. It?s a fairly large company. We have been extremely pleased with them. They do heating and air, they do plumbing and they do electrical work. We?ve used them for all of those areas and we have been extremely pleased. We had purchased a brand new built-in oven. The opening was too big, so we had to make the opening a little smaller, that is why we had to hire a handyman. Along with that we had to have the gas line moved over, so that is what Fox did for us. We are a preferred custom, so we get a discount. We are very, very pleased. Compared to other companies their price is an ?A?

I called on a Monday and asked them to come to house to give me estimate on job (installing gas pipes on existing property). They committed to Wed morning. I called late morning to check status and they rescheduled from morning to afternoon. They came, said they would email estimate. Nothing. Called left message on Saturday. No return call. Same on Monday. No contact. Left multiple messages Tuesday and they said they would decline the job. Why would it take them so long to communicate

The reason for the 4 rating and not a 5 is the sales part of the experiences not the technicians and the work done. Larry was the technician for my water heater. I have previously written a review for the AC installment. Larry is amazing. He has a lot of experience but what impressed me more was the fact he was totally honest & cared about my experience as the consumer. I was actually told by one of the salesman that Daniel’s prices are higher than other companies. He was correct. They seem to want to immediately try to sell a new replacement without considering the customers situation. My water heater is only 15 months old but I clearly got a ‘lemon’ and it took 3 major parts to be replaced before it was fixed. The parts were still covered by the manufacturer warranty but the labor was not. After several trips it was fixed and from my conversations with the salesperson I felt he was pushing for me to purchase a new water heater and not really understanding of the fact that I had just replaced my AC and my water heater was only 15 months old. In the end, Larry, the technician, did the right thing. It has been a week now and my water heater is working fine. I appreciate honesty more than anything when dealing with these things. I feel like I got it but it took some extra pushing on my part and a technician who stood by what he said. The owner or rep of owner replied to my previous review on the Daniel’s site. I hope this review gives him the answer to why I have not given 5 stars for either review

I have used Neighborhood Plumbing for my rental business over 10 times the last few years. They show up on time and do quality work. I use them for my hard to do problems like a water leak to the house under the drive. No visible wet spot was detected. They were able to pin point the leak with there equipment and dig in from the side of the driveway which out causing much damage

Touchstone was excellent. We missed connection the first time he was due to come out (my fault - I was at the Home Depot and my cell phone did not ring). Touchstone himself came out to make the assessment and said it would be a small job and that he would schedule one of his people between other jobs. After several days, because they were busy, he came out himself and switched out the gas line connector (it was too high on the wall for my new stove). It took about 20 minutes. In the end he refused payment for such as small job (small maybe, but with the potential of blowing up myself and my house, I don't like to take chances with a DIY job) and said 'remember us in the future for bigger jobs'!! How often does that happen? I will certainly use them again. They were always prompt and responsive when I called, despite the first scheduling problem that I caused myself. Easy to deal with. Service man did not have all parts and needed to get them (for an additional $49 over the quoted price - quoted $127 and charged $176). The job was done properly and the heater worked again. If you are trying to use the Angie's list coupon they offer here be forwarned. I tried to give him the $25 coupon for the service call that is advertised above, and he refused to honor it. So the coupon seems to be smoke to get customers. In the review, I gave an F for price because he did not honor the coupon.
