We looked at about five options for the deck work before selecting one and that pre-sale support was excellent. After the project started, scope changes were handled smoothly with quick quotation, agreement and tracking. Work crews were efficient and professional and kept the job site neat during the deck work hauling away the old deck daily and if items were stored on site they asked first. We are very pleased with all the work and highly recommend Jason Joseph and the Matthew Lorand company

Austin Deck Company (ADC) did a wonderful job building our new deck. We were recommended by neighbors to contact ADC, and I am glad we did. Abe was very thoughtful regarding our needs and limitations. We had a tiny area for the new deck to be built which also was close to the ground. Abe didn't try to sell us the most expensive option, but rather one of the cheaper, yet most likely to last option. Granted, the deck is made of a composite material that has a plastic shell, but it was warranted against corrosion from the ground that was touching the bottom of the deck in some instances. I am very glad we listened to his advice. We love our deck and loved the process with ADC. We would highly recommend them to anybody

Joe is very skilled at deck construction having starting building decks over 20 years ago. We were extremely pleased with the job performance, completion time and final product. I needed to replace my old wood deck outside my patio with a concrete slab. I shopped around and Charles with AmeriCoat had both good Angie's List ratings and a good price. He arrived on time to inspect the property and emailed me samples of his work. He was prompt and professional. He took out the old wood deck and poured a concrete slab for us. After letting this set for the required amount of time, he came back to stain and seal it for us. When the stain and seal did not quite turn out like we anticipated due to the hard freeze we had this winter, he followed through and met me for an on-site inspection and agreed to remove the stain and apply a pool deck texture at no extra charge. He finished the job in a timely manner, and our new deck looks great. I can't recommend him highly enough

After interviewing six of the most reputable deck builders in Austin, we chose Al to build our 2400 square foot deck for the following reasons: 1) He did not come across as a salesman ? he is a hands-on builder working alongside his crew. Because he is hands-on on a daily basis, I knew he would be able to give us a reliable and realistic quote. He investigated the condition of our deck and was able to provide the most detailed information regarding the condition of our deck. No other deck representatives were able to provide as much detail or give as accurate of an analysis ? I assume because they never built decks themselves or they don?t do it anymore as they now rely on their crews. 2) He has worked with both natural and composite wood decks and he gave us the pros and cons of each. He left it for us to decide. Now, this is why we are so happy with the deck : 1) our deck is stunning. Everyone who sees it exclaims what a nice-looking and well-built deck we have. 2) Because he is also a carpenter, he built in some nice craftsmanship into the deck. 3) When you interview him, what you see is what you get. He is a straight-shooter, easy to talk to and do business with. He truly earned our trust throughout the project and kept it. 4) He took care of everything. His pride in quality and workmanship ensured we got the best-built and best-looking deck we could get within our budget. We are so proud of our deck. We look forward to hiring Al for projects in the coming Fall as well. We wish him continued success

Austin Deck built the original deck (previous owners) and it was a beautifully built deck. Fine furniture, I like to say, compared to most decks I see in our very nice neighborhood. So I called them when it was obvious that small repairs wouldn't cut it any longer. We discussed all the possibilities including building a completely new deck. To shorten the story, they were willing to use the existing skirting (which meant removing it for the new floor to be installed and then replacing it), replacing damaged pieces as needed. This shows what a good job they did 20 years ago as the foundation of the deck was still in good shape as well as most of the railing and skirting. We basically have a new deck without having to spend an additional $10,000.00. I had other Angie's List A-rated companies tell me this was a "stupid" idea and they were not interested. Additionally, Jim and Dennis are THE NICEST and most professional guys you will ever work with. They are craftsmen not just deck builders. Highly recommend! By the way, they were very accommodating to my crazy summer schedule and completed all this in 4 days of work. Excellent and trustworthy crew as well

The crew tore down our old rotting deck and was able to use the existing foundational timbers for the new deck. They planned the layout of the new deck, ordered the lumber and built the entire new deck to spec on site in a few days. The craftsmanship was unparalleled! Gary uses a crew of two reliable employees, Hank and Greg. They were polite, considerate, hard working and above all excellent craftsmen. They cleaned up after themselves and left us with nothing but a beautiful new deck that EVERYONE raves about! From the very beginning we knew Austin Deck was worthy of our business. Abe was thorough, professional and timely in answering our many questions and concerns. He listened and knew what we wanted. We received the estimate the evening of Jameson's first visit. After deciding to go with Patriot Fence they had the fence up in a week. They worked 4 days (including Saturday and Sunday) until dark and the whole crew was just great people to have around. Jameson made sure our small dogs couldn't get out of the fence anywhere. ML painting has completed several jobs for me. I initially used Oliver to repair and repaint drywall cracks. That went so well I used Oliver for a new shower in the master bath. Caleb and Centex exceeded my expectations. Their price was competitive, quality was very good, and they did everything they said they were going to do and on time. The crew that built my deck was lead by Jose and he might be the hardest working person I've ever been around. Starts early, finishes late and never stops working. My job took 3 weeks (other deck companies told me it would take 6-8 weeks) and not once did I even see him sit down. At the end of every day he cleaned up the job site and blew all of the saw dust off of the deck. If you are considering a deck project, I strongly recommend Centex
