I researched Angie's List for a wallpaper hanging company, and found Don. He did a great job! The walls look perfect--the rooms are transformed! He is talented, professional, and kind. My schedule was difficult to work around, but he made it happen. I would definitely hire him again, and have recommended him to my family and friends, including an interior designer and master builder.

They have mismatched pattern repeat, they tore the wallpaper and left it on the wall, the seams are not cut properly at the ceiling, there's gaps on the seams and you can see the walls behind it. On my sink, there's about 6x6x4 that they didn't bother to put wallpaper on. It was a mess, the wallpapers are not cut properly on the windows as well, they pasted it to the bottom of the window. The prints don't even matched up, pattern repeats does not match. They left the workspace a mess, they didn't even clean up and also the light fixture that they were supposed to take down, they didn't finish it so now I have hanging wires up on my walls.

I should have completed this review months ago, but only realized I had not done it when I decided to call the company about another job. We moved into a house with very dark lighting in the powder room (and taupe gray paint on the walls). When the light was replaced and the room finally had sufficient lighting, we saw that all four walls had bubbles all over them. It was damage from a plumbing issue that was fixed by the seller. Apparently the walls were not fixed when the other repairs were done (or the problem was from a different owner). My handyman suggested we have the walls re-mudded which required a couple of coats and sanding and that was not a good option for me. I called Don for a quote and hired him to do the work. He could not come as scheduled due to the ice storm that shut the city down at that time. He got here only a few days later and did the job in a few hours. The wallpaper looks amazing and several people have commented about how nice it looks. You'd never know of the damage under the paper even though it's really bad because Don did such a fantastic job! We're planning to have him wallpaper the foyer ceiling and the office panel boxes as well. Don has experience with the very heavy imported paper from Europe that many installers have no idea how to hang. Hands down he's the best for wallpaper installation in the ATL!!! I would give the rating of A+++ if it was an option.

Don with Up Against The Wall in an extremely talented wall paper installer. First off, he provided me with an estimate and explained how he priced his projects very clearly and accurately. He was punctual and extremely courteous on the job site. There were a lot of different schedules and contractors to work around and he accommodated us very well. As I mentioned above, some of the papers were very challenging to install. There was a lot of of trimming and matching that needed to occur and large size papers that were hard to handle and install. He also installed a very complex hand painted paper which had to be installed exactly as it was designed or the entire lot of paper would be ruined. Everything turned out perfectly. If I had not used someone as experienced as Don, I know it would have been a challenge to complete the project. I will use Don again on my future projects as he is the most competent wall paper installer I have worked with. I would trust him with any project, large or small, as I know he will execute the job perfectly.

Not sure what happened to my first review of this company, so I'll include that project here as well as the recent one. Don covered some very "bubbly" walls we discovered after buying a home - even the inspector missed this issue water damage issue Once the paper was installed and everything cured, no more "bubble walls! You can't find a seam as the paper was installed flawlessly! After finding leftover Anaglypta paper in my attic storage room, I decided to have it installed in the foyer, on the ceiling, to dress the space up a bit. Don again installed the patterned paper perfectly and I am now in the process of painting/glazing it. Don is absolutely in a league of his own in terms of home improvement experts. No one compares to his level of skill in my opinion ;)

Donald was excellent. He responded to my initial request right away and after some discussion and description of the job, we set up a date for the installation. Donald showed up promptly and installed the wallpaper beautifully. It looks practically seamless! He took into consideration the rather complicated pattern and made sure that the installation optimized its look. If you look at the photo of the light switchplate, it's matched so beautifully to the underlying wall that it's almost invisible. Amazing! The place was spotless when he was done. I would hire him again in an instant.

Don was great. He called me back right away to schedule an estimate. He correctly measured and told me how many rolls of wallpaper to buy. He showed up at the date and time he said he would. We bought a home that had previous water damage (burst pipes). Everything appeared to have been repaired - except for the walls in the small downstairs half bath. Once we replaced the low wattage bulbs in the light fixture in the room, the "bubble" walls were revealed. After having various handymen explain we needed to re-mud the walls, I decided to go another route. I hired Don to install a slightly textured wallpaper in the room, hoping the paper would disguise the damaged walls and thanks to the precise installation performed - the walls look flawless now! Looking to schedule a paper installation for foyer ceiling soon - would not dream of using any company besides Up Against the Wall!!!
