Recent Review: I first met Kevin Bowers at the Atlanta Home Show in the fall of 2014. I had just bought a 30 year old house that needed some exterior work including new gutters and downspouts. It is in a very wooded area, but never had gutter protection and some damage occurred to the soffit and fascia as a result of clogged gutters and downspouts. My situation was a little different that most in that my house has what's called a Garard metal roof. This roof has gutter flashing the prevents a typical system from sliding under the first shingle or allowing a specialized gutter, such as Leafguard, from fitting up tight to the fascia. I was hoping that the roofer had a type system that commonly accompanied his roof and I would be able to simply piggyback a gutter system with him and go with a proven system. However, that was not the case as the system that the roofer proposed included a large opening screen cover that would quickly fill up. My wife and I went to the home show on two days and we visited with Kevin on both occasions. After the show, we again contacted Kevin and he came over to our house to check it out. While he was there, he installed two sample prototypes for us to observe during rainstorms to see how they performed. He followed up with a written proposal which included several options. He did not push us in any way. He responded to us and provided information and worked very h****** a solution that would not only work, but would utilize the "cleaning" effect of his product for the long term health of the system. He recognized that our roof system would present unique and difficult challenges. Kevin pointed out that two things would be of primary importance; those being to have the gutters properly positioned to actually collect the water, and secondly that the gutters would properly drain to the downspouts. These two things might seem very elementary, but with the complexity of the metal roof that I have, they were going to pose a serious challenge for the installers. After all of the other outside subcontractors competed with their work, I contacted Kevin and awarded him the job. He told me ahead of time when I could expect him and he kept to that schedule including contacting me a few days ahead of time to confirm his coming. Kevin sent two mechanics, Matt and Mike. He obviously had discussed the special conditions of the roof with them ahead of time, because they went right to work with the installation and knew exactly how to install it in order to get the collection made and keep the correct angle for the gutter covers installation. Matt and Mike worked through some sloppy weather conditions. They made very quick work of the job and their craftsmanship was excellent. Kevin was there from time to time checking in on the work. If you have a typical roof, these guys will knock it out quickly and do a great job. If you have a unique situation, Kevin will find a solution that will work and that you will be happy with. He will treat you fair, not push you at all, and he will do what he says. I totally trust Kevin and would not hesitate to recommend him and/or use him again.

Recent Review: Eddie and his crews are awesome! Eddie was a referral from our realtor. We started with him and his crew painting our kitchen cabinets white and pressure washing/re-staining our deck. It was a 2.5-day project, they stuck to schedule, and they were awesome to work with. Soon after that, we had a plumbing emergency that left our downstairs in shambles (wall damage to walls, ceiling, flooring). Eddie was one of the first people we called besides the actual plumber. He was there to help every step of the way, as they assisted with opening up the siding/walls for the plumber to make his repairs and then patching everything up to look brand new and as if nothing happened. Eddie is incredibly personable, communicative, and easy to work with. We will definitely be using him for all future projects. They are a little pricier than other contractors, but there is a reason for that ... you get quality service, fast turnaround times, and professional-grade work done with first-class customer service. Recent Review: My past projects included: The demolition of an inefficient built in large fireplace and accompanying rock faced chase. This was a difficult project as it involved repairing the roof, rebuilding the wall, and matching the exterior log siding to the house. My old log siding is a different size than today's and hard to come by. But he did it! It matches perfectly. The finished project was one of the deciding factors by the city in listing CWG on their list of preferred providers. The demolition and rebuild of an upstairs small bathroom. CWG did it all... installed a new energy efficient window, replaced the failing roof over the bathroom, installed the Neo shower, etc. What an improvement! I listed the project on HGTV's 'Rate My Space' and got great reviews. Encouraged by the experience and results, I moved onto the next project... The demolition of and rebuild of an unused sunroom into to a fully functional office. It involved building a new wall and the installation of exterior log siding on the outside to match the rest the house. He also rebuilt the remaining walls from scratch and installed surrounding energy efficient windows. I also submitted this room to HGTV and received numerous outstanding reviews. Now, I was on a roll... I had found a contractor I could trust. Unexpectedly a pipe burst in the downstairs bathroom and blasted water most of the day before found out about it. I shut off the water and called Gurdon (at 11:30 pm!). He came out the next day and assessed the damages. The event escalated my remodel plans for the bathroom. Why do it twice? So, we worked up a plan to repair and renovate. Within three days when the house was dried and ready for construction, he and his crew were on the job. It was amazing! I have never had a project of this size and intricacy. Yet, Gurdon handled everything; building permits, help with insurance claims (he has an insurance background) etc. He worked with me to compare prices for the needed materials and appliances to help keep costs low without compromising quality. The new claw foot tub was now positioned in front of the old window. Thus, he installed a new tempered window to meet code and safety. He repaired all structural issues and even matched the 20 year old pine floors to the rest of the house. The job was done in record time, and it is beautiful! Again I sent pictures to HGTV 'Rate My Space'. They featured the bathroom on their main page for several months resulting in numerous, outstanding (I love it!) comments. I am gearing-up for my next project in 2016. Know who I am going to call?

Recent Review: Professional, courteous, work completed on time with excellent craftsmanship. Ours was a very large, very expensive project using a premium grade product and Contracting Pro provided the expertise, communication and experience to deliver a final product that exceeded expectations. Recent Review: On time, courteous, hard working installers. Worked through the morning and afternoon with only a 10" break. Job was completed in one day. Cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the day. The supervisor, Gene Johnson, inspected their work the next day and asked for input and only when we were completely satisfied, then collected payment.

Recent Review: The challenge was custom fitting a window AC unit into concrete block. There was not another handyman service that would touch the job and I needed it done fast because new tenants were moving into the house (it's a rental property). Not only did A&P show up on-time, accept the job, but I also had such confidence in the work performed that I asked about a few other "problem" areas that they were able to help with. They successfully cut out some rot on a couple areas of my house, replaced, and stained, and painted areas that were visible. They also helped to reinforce a back deck that had grown a little ugly and potentially unsafe for my tenants which was something they pointed out and I agreed with. There is more work down the road that I would consider using these guys for as they were direct, punctual, and performed quality work. I recommend their services!

Recent Review: We had Mike do several separate projects, in two different buildings, over the course of a year and half (approx). After the first project, we just kept calling him back. The projects were difficulty, in that the property is older and nothing is level or straight. He was professional, on time, on budget, flexible and very pleasant. I remember one day during a multiple day project he called us to say that he had an unexpected conflict. We thought that was courteous (we've had folks simply not show up before). But that was not all...he told us that a colleague was on his way to continue the work for him for that day (I think it was drywall) so that the projet did not get behind. Mike is polite, thorough, and knowledgeable. He talked us through the projects beforehand and answered all of our questions. I heard about him from a colleague at work (before I joined Angie's list) and what a great referral.

Recent Review: I could not be more pleased with my experience with Perfection Roofing and Siding. They installed a new roof, new sheathing, wrapped the house, installed Hardie Plank siding, painted the house and installed new gutters. Everything was done to perfection! Co-owner Robbie Morten was a pleasure to work with. His desire to be certain we were satisfied with all of the work performed was truly impressive. Recent Review: I received bids from 8 roofing companies. Findley's pricing was in the middle. The prices obtained were higher because of the materials I specified to be used. This was not an insurance job. After reviewing the owens corning web site I decided to have a higher quality roof installed along with new 6" gutters. I also decided to replace the existing two 4'x4' skylights with new units. Findley was the last company I received a bid from. Tony was professional and knowledgable . Pricing was good for the quality of the products and services they provided. The roof I replaced was the original and 18 years old. The decking on the existing roof had wood rot in many of the eves . 13 sheets of plywood was replaced. They installed water and ice shield on all the eves and valleys on the roof. They also used DeckArmor underlayment which is much better protection under the shingles than felt paper. Drip edges were installed on all eves to protect from wood rot and animals entering the attic through the gap in the decking and fascia board. Rigid ridge vents were installed the entire length of all ridges. Existing turtle vents, power vent and turbines were removed. The installation team did a great job installing new flashing on the dormers and fireplace . They installed the flashing under the stucco on the dormers avoiding having to flash over the stucco which does not look very good. They did a good job attended to the little details resulting in a very nice job. They install new rubber boots on all vent pipes.The installation team was professional and completed the roofing job in one day. Clean up was excellent. The gutters were installed a few days later. I was please with there work and would recommend them to anyone. At the end of the day you get what you pay for and Findley uses their own installation teams who have a lot of experience. They have enough work to keep the crews busy so they have good quality control. They also are one of the larger roofing contractors in Georgia. They get preferred prices on shingles from their supplier due to the volume they purchase which they take advantage of to stay very competitive .
