Matt Jones, the owner, is very responsive, knowledgeable about roofs, honest, courteous and fair. He provided quotes on a timely basis and came in on budget. Had 3 quotes for this type of roof, and although he was not the lowest, he was not the highest either. His price was fair. There are few roofers in this area that install Gerard metal roofs, and Matt and his crew are very knowledgeable and experienced with Gerard roofs. The work is high quality, and Matt supervised the work closely to make sure it was done to his standards and in compliance with the manufacturer's warranty requirements. His crew arrived on time, spoke English, were polite, and cleaned the location at the end of each day; they swept the yard and the driveway for nails. The work took longer than we expected, but the work is very detailed and required a lot of cuts, so we would rather they do it right than rush the job. We decided to install a new chimney cap, address some minor mortar gaps in our chimney masonry, and seal the masonry to make sure the chimney would not be a leak source. Matt did the work (as a change order) and his bill was substantially less than the chimney companies we called in for estimates. We require a lien waiver, which Matt gladly agreed to (once payment was made and cleared). He registered our lifetime, transferrable warranty with Gerard on our behalf too. Our only concern has been the gutters were not cleaned as thoroughly as we thought at the end of the job, and Matt has offered to send his crew out to do that work. Kudos! By the way, Matt also installs asphalt shingle roofs. We are happy with the work and would gladly recommend Matt Jones of Advanced Systems. By the way, the roof looks great too.

Replacing several thousand feet of cedar roof is a challenge, since it's not easy finding companies with plenty of practice in this difficult material. After making my short list of roofers who showed cedar work on their Web site who were Angie A's, Kudzu 5 stars, and BBB A+, I let the job to Braswell Construction. Their presentation was topnotch, and they were highly competitive on price. Owner Chris Braswell spent plenty of time at the house to make sure he understood exactly the look and feel we wanted to achieve. He spent hours at the house the first day to make sure his cedar team knew exactly how the finished mansard roof was to look, and came by twice more to work with his crew on the treatment of the tricky areas like the pocket windows. His cedar team were true craftsman. When a passerby on the street points up the driveway at the new roof and shouts "Awesome!" at me, you feel like you made the right choice. I see below that he's posted some pictures of the job on my Dunwoody house.

Andrew Dalby with Atlanta Re-roof Specialists, came out and did the initial assessment. He was very knowledgable and provided lots of insight into the many aspects of our existing cedar shake roof. He took lots of pictures and explained in great detail all aspects of the current condition of our roof. He also provided several options from low cost stop gap measures to a wide range of alternatives. With Andrew it was not a high pressure sale, but rather a sharing of knowledge and options and then he provided a comprehensive quote that outlines everything he would do, and the costs as well as upgrades such as copper drip edging. He then allowed us enough time to seek additional quotes and comparison shop. In the end not only were his prices the best, but his approach was by far the most welcome. Once we sealed the deal, he introduced me to the foreman of the crew that would do the actual tear-off and installation. It was quickly obvious they had a long history together and had a great deal of respect for one another. Andrew stayed involved though out the installation. The on-site crew was very impressive and profession. They addressed every question I had and did an excellent job with the new roof installation as well as the cleanup afterwards. Overall, we are thrilled with the new roof and the decision we made to use Atlanta Reroof Specialists. Great job guys.
