Unfortunately, I think these people are dishonest from start to finish. When I was in the shop choosing my pattern for laminate flooring, I noticed cracks in their laminate floor installations where the pieces of laminate were fit together when installed next to each other. I asked the salesman about it, and he said he wasn t sure what was wrong with their installation, but that it is supposed to fit together tightly with no cracks. He assured me that mine would not have cracks. I have uploaded a picture that shows a crack between two pieces of laminate in my kitchen. This is not the only crack; there are several cracks or gaps where the pieces of laminate fit together and other places where they buckle upward. The salesman lied! Enhance Floor Trends requires a 50% deposit, which is not a problem. However, there were some issues with the installation and I didn t want to pay the remaining balance until those issues were resolved. Unfortunately, the folks at Enhance Floor Trends called me once or twice a day until I had paid the balance, without regard to whether the issues had been resolved! One issue was that the installer had installed the laminate in one room with the shadow pattern going one direction. In an adjoining room, he installed it with the shadow pattern going in the other direction. You really notice it in the threshold of the doorway between the two rooms. When I pointed this out to the installer when he came back out to fix a couple of other issues, he said he had never noticed the shadow pattern before. He admitted that it was definitely there and took pictures to show the owner of the company. A couple of weeks later, when I talked to the owner, he said the manufacturer said there was no shadow pattern on the product. See for yourself in the picture I ve uploaded. The owner lied! Additionally, some of the trim was not adequately nailed into place, and has been loose ever since the installation. I have uploaded a picture of that, too, although it is a bit blurry.
