Atlanta Cabinet Hardware - Concealed Hinge Installation

Bob and crew refinished our kitchen in our previous home in 2001. When we moved in 2012 we were thankful he was still around and doing well. His son Mike and crew member Jonathon spent 3-4 days meticulously working to magically transform our kitchen. The job had multiple step process. Attention to detail given. Results are spectacular. The Mrs. is very happy. Wish we could post before and after pictures. They are true artists!

From start to finish, the project was smooth and easy for me. GAR is located in Acworth, which is a far distance from my home, but Rick had been highly recommended to me by an extended family member and I wanted to see his operation first hand. Wow! Rick had a ton of cabinet door styles and materials to choose from and was very easy to work with. Rick was always easy to reach by phone or email and the cabinet was delivered in a very timely fashion and looked great. I wanted a particular cabinet knob that Rick was able to procure for me at a good price. All in all, from start to finish, the project exceeded all expectations and was very competitively priced. Can't imagine ever using anyone else in the future!

It went smoothly and turned out more magnificently than I had envisioned. All of the crafts people were punctual, professional, skilled, confident, and respectful of my property. They cleaned up all the debris and hauled it away. I was impressed in their attention to detail so that everything turned out prefectly.

The entire process was very positive. I was told their job was to make me happy and that is what they did.

Phil was true to his word, as he and his subcontractors showed up each day, on time. They performed quality work but we did have a bit of an issue with the prep work not being what it perhaps should've been on the cabinets, as the paint in some areas did not adhere as it should and we'll have to do a bit of touch up work ourselves. Also, the prep work on the walls could've been better, as we may need to repaint a few areas there too. Overall, we were pleased with the work Phil performed. He is a knowledgeable contractor who brought several items to our attention and even made a few suggestions/recommendations regarding work that we wanted completed. We have recommended him and would hire him again.

It all went well -- bathrooms look great. Throughout Tim would consult with me to be sure I liked the way things were looking to ensure there were no surprises. I was especially pleased with the solution he came up with for closet doors --I had been perplexed about what to do and it turned out very well. It is comfortable inviting Mini Jobs into our home as I know their staff over the years. I already know which projects I will ask them to tackle next.

When I was ready to start my remodel, I pick the top three "A" rating companies on your list. Charlie was number three. As it turned out, I had "saved the best for last". I knew exactly what I wanted and didn't want. It would not be the usual kitchen remodel so I needed someone who could "think out of the box". That's Charlie. Once he heard my ideas, I could almost hear his brain kick into high gear! Within a day or so, I had a rough draft. He came out again, we did a tweak here and there and the game was on. I don't know who was more excited me or Charlie. I had all my appliances and my sink and faucet were on ordered. Charlie referred me to a vendor he uses for countertops. I found the perfect piece of granite. He picked out all the cabinet hardware. It wasn't long before installation day. I'm going to stop here with the details. Here is the bottom line, if I could dance (which I can't) I'd do a jig every time I go in my kitchen! Charlie and his crew gave me everything I ask for and more. Not one thing would I change. Everyone who has been to my home or seen pictures are in awe. Even better, my kitchen will be featured in a BH&G Kitchen and Bath magazine. Thank you Charlie and crew. I giving you a triple "A+".

Everything went well and pretty much according to schedule. Mary Jo and Rodney (the owners) were responsive to inquiries and coordinated any changes with us in advance to make sure the changes worked with our schedule as well as theirs and their subcontractors.

We purchased and assembled new kitchen cabinets from cabinetgiant.com. We chickened out on installing them ourselves and decided to hire a professional. Hiring Housworth was a big mistake. The salesman who took our money (Richard) never visited the home again once he got the signed contract. The workers showed up having no idea what to do. I had to supervise their work myself and try to communicate with them in broken Russian. They made many mistakes, and left the job incomplete. The even drilled a hole in the wrong place for a cabinet knob, put some putty in the hole, and called it fixed. These are new cabinets in a home we are getting ready for sale. They accidentally installed the cabinets too low for the refrigerator to open, so they jacked up one side of the connected wall of cabinets a few inches, twisting my carefully assembled rectangular cabinets into rhomboids., rescrewed it to the wall, and then jacked up the other side. Hard to imagine that being good for the cabinet structure. The actual cabinet installer brought his untrained teenage son for some on the job training at my expense. I was paying $900 for professional help, not to sacrifice my cabinets and my kitchen as a teaching project. He's the guy who drilled the hole in the wrong place. They did not install the base molding around the bottom edge of the cabinets. The installer said that "wasn't his job" and left. I was glad to see him gone. I'm trying to figure out how to do that part myself with a compound miter saw. Overall, I wish I had not hired them. It would have taken less time and effort to have just done the job myself. The salesman, Richard, mentioned that he takes 1/3 of the job cost as profit. So, the installers got $600 and he got $300. I see no value in what I paid either of them. We used Emerson Home Services over in Marietta for a different part of the project, and we were very impressed with their professionalism. They installed a new window in the exterior of our basement, repaired rotted siding and soffits, and installed a new exterior door for $1600. We wish we'd found them before we found Housworth and hired them to install the kitchen cabinets. I will be calling Emerson for any future projects. Avoid Housworth. No supervision of the project at all, very unprofessional, and low value for money.

We did not want to rip out all of the current cabinets; they were custom built and still in good condition. However, the surfaces had taken a beating over 30+ years and needed to be refurbished. Our formica countertop was still in good condition but very dated. Kitchen Fronts offered a solution that was only a third to a half of the cost of a complete kitchen renovation (based on other estimates I had received) and promised to complete the work in TWO WEEKS (which they did). I recommend them for the following reasons. 1) The representative who came to measure and provide an estimate was very knowledgable and helpful having 20+ years of experience. He made several very low cost suggestions which vastly improved both the look and functionality of the kitchen such as adding a soffet which added another layer of shelving around the kitchen, combining small drawers into larger ones, etc. He also provided helpful advice on the colors of wood stain and marble that would accent the hard wood floors as well. -2) The company has a strict schedule that allows the carpenters 1 week to: remove the countertops, cabinet doors, molding etc. and then custom cut and attach the new wood finish, custom cut and assemble to new drawers and install the new wood cabinet doors which were made elsewhere. The carpenter assigned to us was very polite, careful and methodical. He also added new molding to improve the look. He consulted with us daily on what we wanted and left the whole area very clean every evening. The cabinet doors have hidden hardware so are very attractive and also auto-close. 3) The schedule calls for the countertop company to install the new top on Tuesday of the second week. Therefore, in the first week we visited Premier Surfaces to pick out the marble slab and they came to measure before cutting the slab. Although this purchase can be done separately, we received a discounted price by being customers of Kitchen Fronts of GA. Just as important, Premiere surfaces honors Kitchen Fronts schedule and came to install the counter the next Tuesday as planned while customers off the street would have had to wait longer. The staff at Premier were most helpful. 4. The new marble countertop automatically comes with a drop sink attached at the warehouse. While visiting Premier surfaces we were able to choose from a dozen sink designs. We also chose a beveled edge which normally cost more but is a free option under the Kitchen Front's subcontract. There were no hidden costs, the company kept to the schedule and did everything they promised to do. And our new kitchen looks great! Things to consider: 1. If you are changing the floor plan and/or having to install a new floor you would have to do this on your own. 2. We had to arrange for our own plumber to hook up everything once the countertop was installed; so this cost is not included. 3. Kitchen Fronts offers a wide choice of cabinet door designs, handle designs, stains, and marbles. The marbles are offered in several price groups. However, the choice is not unlimited. If you have a specific item you want that is not on the list, you may have to pay for that yourselves, such as different cabinet hardware. Personally I find the array of choices in remodeling overwhelming and was glad not to have to visit a lot of different stores to pick out what I wanted.
