It took them 2 months to start the work after we paid them upfront. In the first shower they put in, the tiles were very uneven, chipped in places, and it would not drain, so they had to redo the entire shower. Now it drains but it is still uneven in places. The parts (shower valve and head) are low quality. The handle of the valve is wobbly and the valve is installed wrong. We still wanted money back and they stopped communicating by ignoring our emails and messages. Would never hire them again.

Lauren and Stephanie handled my calls in the office and got John Hutchins out to me within the week of my call (week of May 19th). On the day of service, the company sent me a profile with a picture of Mr. Hutchins Mr. Hutchins arrived just moments before the quoted 10a-2pm window started. At 10 am, he was inside, investigating the needs, and making a diagnosis. Mr. Hutching replaced a 3-handle tub/shower faucet, cutting through drywall, around a difficult work space. At our request, Mr. Hutchins prepared quotes for future work. I researched the quotes and found them to be on par with or better than other Angie's providers; so, I am having them (hopefully Mr. Hutchins) back out to do at least some of that work. The work looked nice when he finished and we have better shower performance than when we bought the home 22 years ago.

It took a while to get everything completed. On the day of my first appointment I received a call asking if it could be changed. I had no problem with that. The date of the nest appointment which was set for a specific 2 hour period no one showed up. I called and was told their previous job was a problem and they would be late. I called several more times. Rodney the owner finally came about 6:00 when the company realized the original person would not make it. Rodney checked my problems and came back a few days later with parts to fix the problems. Had to call again to get something adjusted. That appointment was set for 2-4 pm. No one called or came that day. Called office next day and left message. Set another appointment for today .Rodney came back and was out in a few minutes. Overall good experience but they did have scheduling problems. Audrey said that is being addressed. I will use again if needed.

I purchased the $25 for $50 credit, and the drain cleaning was an additional $19. $70 to clean a drain without a tub gun(?) seems a bit expensive. Replacing the tub cartridges was going to run me around $700 for parts and labor so I decided against that as well.

Majestic Plumbing & Electric
Wow...expensive, expensive, expensive... He couldn't find the water pressure regulator. He couldn't find the outside water cutoff. He wanted $425.00 to repair the valve stems in the tub, but made it sound like repairing older stems seldom worked out and would require replacing. If he had to replace and tear our the tile, that would be $1000.00. I DID NOT hire him. I got a second estimate from another company and hired the second plumber. The second plumber found the regulator. He found the cutoff at the street. He repaired the of stems, and put on new handles and trim. HE CHARGED ME $275.00. He was a licensed master plumber.

Matt was great--he was not daunted by our 90 year-old building's quirks. He arrived within the time frame given and took care of what was needed. He had to leave to pick up some parts but quickly came back to finish the job. He seemed very knowledgeable and we will definitely use Plumb Doctor again and will ask for Matt.

Rogers Services Group Inc
Mr. Rogers and crew filled in for another plumber whom I had used previously but who was unavailable due to health. Mr. Rogers and crew (depending on who was available) picked up immediately and installed bathtub and shower fixtures I had previously purchased. In that process, he determined that one of the items to be installed was an incorrect item. Although I had the receipt from a reputable local dealer, Mr. Rogers made contact with his own personal contact at the dealer and worked with his contact to ensure that I received the correct part. Although it took multiple shipments for the supplier to get the correct part for me, I'm not sure the exchange could have been accomplished without Mr. Rogers' involvement. All parts are now successfully installed and Mr. Rogers did not charge me anything additional to come out to our home SEVERAL times in the process to get the correct part installed!

They immediately diagnosed the problem, performed a valve adjustment that solved it, and went cheerfully on their way. This is the third time I've used Morningside, with perfect results each time. Recent Review: Awesome work!!! I considered replacing my bathtub because it was looking bad and unsightly. To have a new tub installed and the old one removed was going to be expensive. I came across ReFace It on line and We are so happy we did. My tub looks like new and I didn't have to have my bathroom torn apart. I'm so glad we used this service. The attention to detail was excellent and we are very please with the work that was done. I would definitely recommend ReFace It.

Recent Review: The technician was on time and done in less than a day. The tub now looks wonderful - shiny and just like new. The technician cleaned up after himself. He kept the disruption to a minimum, covering our rugs by the bathroom and closing the bathroom door and opening the window to let the fumes out. The company followed up with detailed instructions on how to care for the tub. Their price matched the lowest estimate we got and they stuck to it. Candace the owner was a pleasure to deal with on the phone.
Recent Review: I recommend Xpress Drain 100%! I needed a bathtub drain unclogged and wanted quotes on a few other possible plumbing repairs. I first called another company I found here on Angie's list. They were promp, professional and nice but the quotes seemed very high for everything so I thought I'd get a second quote. I called and asked how much it would be to get the bathtub drain uclogged, which was my priority. I was told $140, which was $50 cheaper than the other guys so I had them come out. Kwesi and his son came out the same afternoon. They were very professional, personable and knowledgeable. Not only did they unclog the drain quickly and beautiful but ended up charging me less than they quoted. I don't think that's ever happened to me, ever! In addition, they stopped the leaking in two faucets without even asking (or charging) by tightening them when the previous company recommended replacing at $150 each. And finally, I was given a quote to FIX, as opposed to replace a toilet (as suggested by other company) for about 1/2 the price of having a new toilet installed (which if I decide to do it, would still be about $100 cheaper than the other guys. So I'm beyond pleased with this company, will use them for any future plumbing jobs and would recommend them to anyone.
