The only concern that I have about this repair is the cost charged for the Hard Start Kit. I had another AC unit repaired earlier this year and that unit had a Hard Start Kit installed along with some additional items. The Hard start Kit installed by Casteel was billed out at more than twice the cost as the prior unit installed by another A/C repair company. All said and done, Casteel did a good repair and the A/C unit is now working well.

Called in service order on Saturday evening when unit stopped working and elected to wait until Monday to have unit repaired to avoid higher service call rates for after hours repair. Jason quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem quite satisfactorily and there was no charge to us. It required the addition of another transformer for one per device. The installer had tried to run both devices (an ionizer and a UV) from one transformer. These devices are helpful in removing viruses from the HVAC system so this repair was very important to me.

Recent Review: Issue with HVAC was undiagnosed, because leak stopped. We are keeping an eye on it. Since the repairman was here, I asked him to check our toilets because they sometimes run too long after flush. He replaced insides. Now they run well again!! Great guy and very informative!

He put the bubbly soap on the meter and connections (which did not show an issue) he recommended calling Atlanta gas. Atlanta gas came out and as soon as he put his detector close to the meter it alerted and apparently the reducer was leaking causing the smell. After further investigation the meter itself was leaking and they replaced the whole unit. If not for your technician, we would not have noticed it and if the leak got worse (and close to the compressor units) the results could have been disastrous.
