After cleaning he gave me a report and told me the cracked firebrick shroud be replaced and the chimney cap should be replaced ata additional cost of $800.00. We declined that. Two weeks later they cam and installed a new back wall of 1/4" steel. We knew we needed to replace the crackedfore brick anyway. The cap will be done later.

,He came to install a new chimney cap; showed a picture of the new installed chimney cap. I also asked him to look at the fireplace and he suggested that it is a good idea to clean it, if it's not been done for few years (i have not cleaned it ever, but I also don't use it much). For additional $50, he cleaned the chimney. I am not an expert on fireplaces and I was under the impression that the fireplace was a gas fireplace, but he said it is a wood burning fireplace with a log starter (gas) and he also showed me how to use it. He offered to sell me gas logs if I want to use it and not worry about getting logs, cleaning etc. for around $280-$300. I declined it and told him I will think about it.

'We called JH Kinnard to install a top sealing damper on a fireplace for a home we recently purchased. The fireplace was a prefab and the original damper was warped and could not be closed. The damper could not be replaced since the fireplace was a prefabricated unit. JH Kinnard was the only company we could find to offer us the option of the top sealing damper as opposed to completely replacing the fireplace at a cost of over $5,000 estimated by other companies, which would not even include repair to drywall after the new chimney was in place. I am so happy we found JH Kinnard and a much cheaper alternative to replacing the fireplace unit. Quinton Reilly was our technician and he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He had also been our technician previously for chimney cleaning which was purchased through an Angie's list deal. We will defintely use JH Kinnard in the future and will recommend them to our friends and neighbors!

The guys (team of 2) did a great job. They cleaned the chimney and sealed around the gas pipe, and answered questions that my husband and I had about the process. They came prepared to install a new back firebrick in our prefab fireplace. They were very courteous and pleasant and cleaned up after themselves. They also sent us a care sheet with details on how to cure the new firebrick. This project went extremely well. The gas line on my fireplace was never installed correctly when it was rebuilt years ago and I wasn't able to connect it to my new pan burner. Arvydas was incredible. I needed a real problem solver to engineer a solution for me, and he did just that. He was able to run a new gas line from my fireplace down to my basement, connect it, and add a new shutoff valve that was reachable (the old one was out of reach). Once he got the gas line installed, he came up with a plan to connect the line to my pan burner so all of the controls would be hidden. He even painted some of the components black to match my firebox, and touched up areas of the firebox that got scratched during installation of the new gas line. I highly recommend Arvydas. He's contientious, creative, solution-oriented and an expert in his field.

We have a $1923 fireplace from these people that DOES NOT WORK. It was installed by a separate company that will not come out to fix it unless we pay them for another service call. The pilot went out 15 minutes after the installer left. I waited to call them back and now 3 months later they won't fix it. North Atlanta Fireplace tells us to call the installer. We just bought it in July. It is now Oct and neither company will stand by the product or the installation. Don't do business with this company. They don't stand behind their products,

The owner Rod Holbrook and his Project Manager Troy came to the house prior to the job starting to ensure we talked about the job and talked about the details and any questions. They took care of getting the building permit and dumpster. From demo to completion the crew was professional and on time. They kept the job site clean as the project progressed and took care not to damage our ornamental flowers. There were one or two issues that popped up doing the project, which is expected during a project of this size, but they were resolved promptly by Troy. Super Service Award Recent Review: Dealing with ARC was a great experience from day 1. We originally hired them to inspect and clean the fireplace and chimney in our newly purchased home. After conducting the inspection they showed us where the chimney was in great shape and didn’t even require cleaning. The firebox however, had been irrevocably damaged by the previous owners. The entire problem was explained in detail and the damage was pointed out in several places. ARC took all the measurements and facilitated the purchase of our new firebox. We also chose to purchase our new gas logs from them. The removal of the old firebox and installation of the new was done quickly, cleanly and very precisely. Toward the completion of the project we had a catastrophic medical situation develop in our family. ARC worked with us on arranging the final payments and installation of the logs. They were more than professional and very compassionate. HIGHLY recommend.

Recent Review: I am trained as an architect and used to do this work myself. However, I'm getting old. The point is I want things built at the quality I would do. We retained the services of Jim Jones to blow out our living room wall and cantilever new window seats adjacent to our fireplace. We wanted a small roof over this extension and a couple of new windows also. Then we wanted all the old wood siding removed and new Hardy Plank siding installed. Jim's crew headed by Gama came out and worked amazingly fast. His framers were craftsmen and framed our extension better and stronger than I would have. We loved their work. They removed the old siding and foam substrate and installed new OSB underlay, added house wrap and installed the windows and new siding. They worked very fast, were easy to communicate with, had no problems making adjustments on the fly, and they cleaned up well after each day's work. Actual cost was a bit more than we had wanted, but they were worth every cent. Would we use them again? you bet. We have a much larger and more complex job that will be another review when done.

Recent Review: We had two leaky shower stalls that were getting progressively worse over time. We called Tibor and learned that the leaks were due to the builder's improper installation of the shower door frames, which pierced the underlying shower pan and created the hidden leaks. As a result, the shower pans had to be torn out and completely replaced. This also meant that the job would involve matching the existing tile as it was a partial tear out, which added some complexity to the work. Overall, we were very placed with the value we received from Tibor and team. The quality of their work was excellent and Tibor's prices were competitive. They attempted to accomidate our work schedules to meet with us at different points throughout the project. In fact, we liked Tibor's shower work so much, we also hired him to 1) tear out a fireplace mantel with a raised brick hearth and replace it with a tile front and 2) Install additional tile to match and expand a kitchen bar back spash. Both projects were purely cosmetic and we were thrilled with the outcome of the work. The only slight issue was that the fireplace tile installer (who was different from the shower pan installer) had not worked with the type of tile we selected. Specifically, it was a stacked stone like product that was fairly new on the market and had an "A" and "B" installation pattern that the tile shop had neglected to explain to us. It took some time but we figured it out with the tile store and the installer could not have been any more patient and accomidating as we worked through designing the correct pattern. In the end, we love the work and I have recommended Tibor to a co-worker.

What do customers in Atlanta say about Fireplace Installation?
The provider was referred to me by another company. I contacted them on 01/11/2014 to request an estimate on replacing my fireplace and I was told that there will be a $149.00 fee to come out. I informed them that I was a referral by another company whom they were in contact with and that a fee should not be required. They came out to install the fireplace on 01/21/2014 but was 45 minutes late. When they removed the vinyl siding to insert the fireplace, the old siding underneath the vinyl siding was rotted. I tried to convince them to replace the old siding with some additional siding which I had on hand, but they proceeded to reinstall the old rotted siding underneath the vinyl siding. It doesn't look bad after the vinyl siding was replaced and I was in formed that they were "not responsible for damaged vinyl siding. They also had to reinstall the existing vent free logs. Upon completion, everything was cleaned up and working find. I eventually turned off the logs from the awful smell of the new fireplace. The next day when I attempted to turn the fireplace on, the pilot light had gone outon the logs. I contacted The Fireplace Place to inform them that the pilot light was out on the logs and I was told that there will be a $149.00 fee for them to come out and that they were not responsible for the logs. I told them that it was working before they were uninstalled and they should come back out to see what was wrong. I was then told that they did me a courtesy for not charging me the first time. They did not return to check my fireplace and I had to contact another provider and pay a service charge for them to check my firelogs.
