- ALPINE FIREWOODGreat! Wood was delivered on time. Although, they often deliver about 1/4 chord that does not meet the 16" or less requirement. We have a newer, but smaller wood stove (insert) - that requires smaller lengths of wood. Generally, we use this wood when camping or cut it when we have the chainsaw out...so it's not too big of an inconvenience....but would prefer all the wood delivered met our 16" requirement. We have used Alpine for years and would recommend them

"I have a fireplace that I haven't used in an long time. I'm planning on starting to use it again and wanted it inspected first. Even though they're based in Orange County they agreed to come all the way to WLA (Culver City) to do the inspection. Pedro & Diego arrived a little late (though they did call to say they were running a behind.) The inspection, which was accomplished quickly and professionally, found a few mostly minor issues. They explained what they found and what my options were to deal with it without any pressure. I OK'd the inspection report and they went right to work. They paid special attention to keeping my home clean (putting on shoe covers before coming into the house and removing them as they leave the house, for example.) Overall I was very satisfied with my experience and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

"Excellent! We extended 2 areas on each side of our pool to make it more usable for lounge chairs on one side and a table with 6 chairs on the other. I can highly recommend Kent Horner and his company for many reasons. They started the work quickly, showed up daily and on time until it was completed, had a large crew and fixed any issues that we had due to moving sprinklers and lights. Kent used a large excavator to level the areas himself over 3 days. When this part was done, the crew took away the grass and dirt and disposed it, prepped the areas and put in the retaining walls, pavers and drains. I really appreciated that Kent showed up every day to check on the progress and address any concerns. He said the job was priced a bit low because there was so much compacted hard soil. He didn’t try to up the price, he did the work for the price he quoted. Thank you so much Kent and CH Gardens for the wonderful job! It’s awesome!

Landowners call Humane Society to donate logs which we pickup and bring to our facility in Spring Valley where they are put on racks to dry out. 9 months later we begin to cut up into fireplace size pieces. All staff are volunteers so that all money we receive goes directly to Humane Society. Wood is sold by the box or any quantity you need.
