  • HOUSE OF VACUUMS

Just moved into a new house in Edmond and my wife really wanted a quality vacuum. We decided we'd rather pay more for a brand that holds up for years than to pay less and have to replace it more regularly. We also wanted a canister style vacuum and noise was a consideration. We first looked online and narrowed our search down to the Miele S8590 canister vacuum. Online its around $649 with free shipping and no tax. We decided to compare prices locally and first went to A1 Vacuums in NW OKC. The sales lady was nice enough, but after all her sales pitching, we found out they didn't even have the vacuum in stock. So, we called around and located the vacuum in Edmond at House of Vacuums. The salesman was very nice, very knowledgeable and best of all, their price was BETTER than Amazon and way better than A1 Vacuums. Got the vacuum for $550 + $30 for the bare wood head + 3 free bags + 2 hepa filters. A1 wanted $699 just for the vacuum and told us we needed to bring it in once a year for service - something House of Vacuums said was not necessary unless there was a problem. Highly recommend

Service work performed was excelent and compleated ahead of schedule by more than a day. My fiances sewing machine works better than it did when new. The gentlman behind the counter when I droped off the sewing machine seemed to be new and a bit uncomfortable behind the counter. When I picked up the sewing machine a couple days later he seemed much more comfortable and relaxed. The repairs where described to me clearly and all of my questions were answered promptly with good descriptions of what was done. I feel that the price I paid was fair and the work performed was excelent. I will be back if I ever need anything for a vacume or sewing machine. I highly reccomend this establishment

I had put some carpet powder on our rugs to freshen them up. Unfortunately, the box did not warn that you shouldn't use carpet powder on a bagless vacuum with hepa-filter. The powder quickly clogged the vacuum, overheating the motor and then the whole thing just shut down. Hours later it came on, but the motor sounded odd and there was no suction. I called Frank's and they told me that carpet powder is a disaster on bagless vacuums. They warned that the motor in my particular vacuum (like most) is not serviceable and considered a "throw away." They said I could bring it in and they could look at it for $15. Two days later I took it in and the owners were very friendly and said they call and let me know what they found out. Later that day they told me the vacuum looked to just need a good cleaning and new hepa-filters. Three days later ,and ahead of schedule, they called to say the vacuum was ready. They even gave me a written statement that the powder caused the problem so I could send it to the company (which offered to reimburse me for the repair). The total was right at $85 ($25 filter and about $60 for the service). This was my first experience taking a vacuum in for repairs (usually just throw them away and get a new one). While I think it is pretty expensive to get a vacuum serviced when you can often buy a new one, with warranty, for less than $200, this was still cheaper than buying a new one and Frank's was great to deal with. I would definitely recommend Frank's

I was hoping it was just an issue with the belt and that is what it turned out to be. In all I was in the store maybe 30 minutes tops and was greeted, the vacuum was looked over. I was told the belt was broken and was shown the filter which definitely needed replacing. It was quickly taken care of and I was on my way home with working vacuum and only out $30 for parts and labor. Would definitely go aback again

Great.. Gave me an estimate up front . Didn't think the unit was under warranty but found out it was. The people greeted me at the door and were very professional. Listened to me and repeated back to me what my trouble was. I like that . NO misunderstanding . Work was done within a week. Called and emailed me when it was done. Had some other questions about some other cleaning products and they helped me with Better and Cheaper solutions. Runs like new!

Frank and his wife are lovely. He repaired my Kirby, which I wasn't ready to part with. He replaced the cord, cleaned it up and added a couple things I was missing (hook for the cord and cover for the light). It took about 2 weeks for him to finish it, but it was worth it. It is in better shape now than when we bought it. I would highly recommend Frank's Vacuum

I dropped the vacuum off at Frank's Repair shop and told him what was wrong. He tested the vacuum and gave me an estimate of what it would cost to repair it which was considerably less than the cost to replace the vacuum. I told them to go ahead and repair the vacuum. They gave me an estimated date the repair would be finished and it was done on that date. Great repair shop and great repairman. I would highly recommend Frank's Vacuum Sales and Repairs to anyone

They guy was wonderful and very helpful. He even fixed and adjusted my Kirby vacuum. He put a new belt on it and showed me how to work it. They were the easiest folks to work with, very accommodating, and very nice. The price was very reasonable. I would use them again. They are more reasonable than Stanley Steamer

When I called on phone and explained problem they indicated that it would be quick to fix the problem. The store location is very well set up and staff very friendly and knowledgable. While there they checked to see last time I changed out HEPA filter and suggested to changed o It after 2 years of moderate use. Then they gave me an estimate which I signed to approve and said they would call me if they found anything that would up the cost before they performed the extra repairs. They handle more than Dyson so I highly recommend them to anyone needing vacuum repair

They had my vacuum for 6 weeks for repair (bottom stuck in the up position) and every time I'd call, I'd get the run around, anything from 'We're waiting on parts' to 'The technician will be here tomorrow and yours will be first on the list!" back to 'We're waiting on parts and can't help how long that takes.' Long story short, I get my(?) vacuum back and the motor is loud and sounds sickly, the wheels/belt squeal, the handle is loose and it looks way more worn than when I brought it in. I'm convinced this is another used vacuum and not mine. I will never go to this store again for anything. Ever. Buyer BEWARE
