I had Comcast come out and the service guy told me that he had checked, and the cable that was put in to that area when the house was built in 1980 was a smaller diameter cable, because that was all that was then needed, and the digital box required a larger cable. The space the cable had to go through was too small. I asked my handyman to fix it, and he told me that the way the house was constructed, it was almost impossible. Well, Stafford did it. It took two of them, and they had to be really creative, but, by the end of the day, the job was done. And it works like a charm. They also wired another room, and figured out how to "cat proof" my wiring in the landing exercise area. I would use them again for anything in a nano second. So professional, and so responsive

This required a new power outlet, and also multiple cables had to be run to that location from the basement as I also relocated my cable receiver and Apple TV. Jason also revived my existing Ethernet network that was never truly functional. Now all of the data ports throughout our home are functional and all of our devices are hard wired vs. using wireless. I would not hesitate to hire them again in the future and am already planning on having them back for another project

MY TWO PREVIOUS RESIDENCES WERE BUILT AFTER 2002 SO THEY HAD STRUCTURED WIRING AND WERE DONE IN A TIME WHEN HOUSES WERE SET UP FOR ACCESS IN EVERYROOM. THIS TOWNHOUSE HAD A NIGHTMARE OF WIRES IN THE BASEMENT, OUTLETS FOR CABLE WHERE I WOULDN'T USE THEM AND NO CABLE IN THE KITCHEN NOR ONE OF THE BEDROOMS. I WANTED THE BASEMENT WIRING CLEANED UP AND THE TWO OUTLETS ADDED. WE ALSO MOVED THE PHONE MODEM AND INTERNET MODEM TO A BETTER LOCATION ON THE MAIN FLOOR BECAUSE IN THE BASEMENT IT WAS LOCATED UNDER MAJOR DUCTWORK THAT WAS INTERFERING WITH THE SIGNAL. THE TWO ADDITIONAL CABLE OUTLETS WERE DONE NEATLY AND THE TECHNICIAN WENT INTO THE ATTIC TO RUN THE COAX FOR THE BEDROOM. MY BASEMENT ISN'T FINISHED SO HE WAS ABLE TO RUN THE ADDITIONAL COAX IN THE BASEMENT EASILY AND THEN PULLED THE LINE TO A PHONE OUTLET THAT I SWITCHED TO A CABLE OUTLET. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I AM VERY PLEASED AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE

They called less than hour after I submitted a quote (on a Sunday!), and spent about 5 minutes on the phone getting a better understanding for the project. They then suggested multiple different creative solutions to solve the problem, none of which required their services or any money out of my pocket at all. "Higgins Construction removed a wall from my kitchen and added a peninsula. When I was getting quotes from companies, Mike went into the most detail and made it clear that he would consider all aspects of the project. He priced out a few options so I could see what each addition would cost in making my decision. "Awesome! We are stuck at home because of Covid and our DirecTV is not working because our roof was replaced and the roofing crew removed and reattached the satellite dish. DirecTV was not able to get here for 5 days. I contacted Mike and my DirecTV was working within 3 hours. "Excellent service. Tom explained all options, answered my questions, was very transparent with pricing. He determined the best location for the signal was to mount the antenna on my garage roof. When I told him it was going to be demolished this summer and a new one built, he offered to install the antenna on the garage and then come back, when they were ready to demo the garage, and move the antenna to a temporary location. This he did, with no additional cost to me, though I offered to pay a service fee for the extra visit. I'm very happy with the channels and the antenna. Highly recommend.

"I knew we needed an Antenna installed on the roof to get OTA (over the air) signals, but was having a hard time finding anyone that does that anymore. We also wanted to be able to record shows ( so we needed a DVR that worked with OTA TV) and needed to choose a streaming service. I did a lot of research, but was a little overwhelmed by all the information. I contacted John at Cable Alternatives and he was great. He recommended the antenna we needed, a DVR (one that I am very happy with, but would never have picked on my own) and a streaming service that we should try (also very happy with his recommendation). The Tech installed the antenna on the roof, installed an interior cable outlet, set up the DVR (to work with all of our TVs) & got our streaming service all set up. So, when he left, we were all set! The installer did a quality job and was very helpful & professional. Everyone was great to work with. I no longer have to pay for cable TV (I don't miss it at all). The cost of the work done by Cable Alternatives will be offset by 13 months of the savings I am getting by not having to pay Cable TV Bills.
