He spent three hours, and was very knowledgeable. He knew about or looked for work-arounds when there were obstacles, and I felt very comfortable with his abilities. Pleasant, personable, and patient, he was a joy to have on my side! We also had a couple of remote sessions to finish up some issues I noticed as I started using the computer. Once again, he was right on time when he called, knowledgeable, and effective. I was very pleased, and glad to have found Zach. I plan to have some additional work on another computer project, and will not hesitate to contact him again

- PC Computer GuyIn late November the hard drive on my Dell desk top failed. Dell tech support advised due to its age that the pc was not cover for technical service and should be replaced. In reviewing Angie’s List for providers I found PC Guy. I called and left a message asking for a follow up. Nick called back shortly thereafter and offered to look at the pc. He said I could drop it off that evening if I desired. As his shop was only 15 minutes away I took it over. A day or two later Nick called to provide an update on the disc recovery. Initial steps were not successful but he would be doing a deeper dive while also working on other assignments. A couple of days later Nick called to advise he was able to recover the data and update various older components in the pc and add some enhancements to the software programs. I picked up the pc later that day. Once home I fired it up and, as Nick promised, it runs faster than ever. He also added a couple of search engine options ( Brave and Firefox ) that he feels are helpful in addition the Chrome and Windows. Lastly he conferenced in the next morning to further explain what he did and walk me through the enhancements

- PC Computer GuyMy old PC would not turn on - possibly damaged in a power failure and restart. Nick diagnosed the problem (over the phone) as probably a defective power supply. He came out at an agreed time and found that he did not have a power supply on hand that would fit. He took the machine away and called back the same day to say that it required a proprietary (and more expensive) unit that he would have to order. When it came, in about a week, he installed it and checked it out, then brought it to the house and reconnected it to the system. Nick was at all times careful to be sure I understood what he was doing and understood the pricing

They recommend alternatives when you go in there looking for like a lens or something, and a lot of times, what they recommend is cheaper than what you had originally planned to buy. They are real knowledgeable. There have been times when I wanted something and they put my name on a list and call me when it comes in. This is one company that I would like to recommend. I have referred my friends there

You can buy items cheaper over the Internet, but their service is worth paying a little more; however, they usually can meet the price. too

"The technicians were friendly and professional. The one issue I had was with the prolonged time it took to schedule appointments, greatly exacerbated as a result of sending me the wrong part. The first (diagnostic) appointment was one week after I contacted them. They ordered the part to be sent directly to my home with the installation scheduled for one week later. However, thanks to a mix-up by their supplier's, the wrong part was sent (a part to a dishwasher!). This required another 1.5 weeks to rectify (due to a 3 day weekend) before finally the dryer could be repaired. Thus the whole process of repairing the dryer required 3.5 weeks.

When I reached out to Eric, I guess his name is up there; he called me back on 2 occasions and I never heard from him. That was sort of second time or the third time that had occurred, meaning that he says, “I’ll call you back”, and I never hear from him. It happened 3 times. I think he’s a little spacey. It’s not like he’s totally irresponsible. It’s just that I think he says things and then maybe an hour later, he forgets he said them. I will not use them again. It’s not a function necessarily of him.

"No problem with the salesman.....he was very knowledgeable and helpful. The total cost was somewhat less than expected since I was given sale prices for such a large purchase. I had no problems with my in-store experience. I had arranged for delivery on 5-1-10 and was told I would be called between 7:30am and 8:30 am with a two hour timeframe for delivery......instead I was contacted the day before and told the delivery would be between 3pm and 5pm. However the delivery showed up at 1:30 pm. Normally this would be OK but because I had been notified the day before with the 3p-5p timeframe, I had arranged for other workmen to be at the house. It was a rather hectic and confusing time, not to mention I had to scamble and quckly empty my old fridge before I planned to do it. The delivery went smoothly. The installer refused to attach my dryer to my vent system stating that it was "unstable" (whatever that means).....he also refused to hook up the water line to my new refrigerator icemaker, stating they "didn't hook up copper or plastic lines because they might leak" but they did hook up other lines. Is there any other type of line for an icemaker? I guess he just didn't want to do it. My impression was this delivery crew just wanted to cut corners and move on to the next job......probably the reason why they were so early in the first place. I hooked up the dryer and icemaker myself (at least I know it was done properly). I have no problems with the store, the price, or the quality of the merchandise, but their delivery dispatching and installation leave a lot to be desired!
"The imaging sensor in my Canon ZR-85 camcorder conked out shortly after the 1-year factory warranty expired. Luckily, I purchased it with a credit card with extended warranty protection. While I was waiting for the credit card authorization to go through, I surfed the net and found out that there was a quasi-recall on mini-DV camcorders from Canon and a couple other brands that used the same imaging chip. I made contact with Canon USA, and they confirmed that if I send in the camcorder, and if the problem was the imaging sensor, the repair would be no charge. I sent it in. They confirmed that the imaging chip was bad, replaced it, and the camcorder was sent back to me. For the last six months since the repair, the camcorder has been working better than ever. The factory service center will repair camcorders that are not under warranty. Check with them regarding terms.
