Reclaimed barn wood helps mix the old with the new in this home remodel.
Project details
Project: Family room remodel with reclaimed wood
Approximate Cost: $4,000
Timeline: About a month
Mixing the old with the new seemed like the logical choice when transforming our storage area and workshop into an awesome family and game room. We used reclaimed barn wood on the walls and dining set to bring the room to life and create a custom finish that really stands out.
Bringing the vision to life
With the help of a carpenter, we were able to remove the old wall and replace it with reclaimed barn wood. In the span of about one month, we were able to remove the old wall, tape and paint the room, do finish work, add new carpet and create custom barn wood walls. Having a professional available to assist us helped our vision come together with ease.

A unique and enjoyable space
With this project, we were able to take some wasted square footage in our home and turn it into something that our family can enjoy for years. By utilizing reclaimed wood, we were able to incorporate the old with the new and create something very unique!
